Store fridge stocked with fresh fruit

Gwaireui Sup Yeosu Branch only uses fresh fruit!! Looking into the fridge inside the store, it was packed with fresh fruit, which got me even more excited!! They have all kinds of options, from peach, mango, melon and watermelon bingsu to brownie and injeolmi (sweet rice cake) bingsu.

The melon bingsu: what's in it and how it tastes

After some thought, we went with the melon bingsu that day 🍈 The melon on top was big and eye-catching, so it looked pretty appetizing from the start — fine milk ice topped with melon, shine muscat grapes, blueberries, and ice cream.

The melon itself was well-ripened, so the flesh was super sweet. Eating the sweet melon together with the cold shaved ice made it even more delicious. There was also a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and the soft ice cream paired really well with the melon ..🤍

Taking a spoonful of the melon bingsu
Bingsu topped with melon sauce and crushed Oreos

At first, we ate the melon and ice cream together, and once we'd eaten a good amount of the melon, we drizzled on melon sauce and sprinkled crushed Oreos on top. For fruit bingsu, the taste of the fruit itself matters most, right? On that front, this was satisfying — plenty of melon, perfectly crisp and sweet from being well-ripened. If you're looking for the best bingsu in Yeosu and prefer fruit-packed options over the usual red bean bingsu, you have to try the fruit bingsu or melon bingsu here!!
