Cool fruit desserts found during a Yeosu trip

The weather was so hot during my Yeosu trip that I was absolutely craving a cool dessert. While looking around Dolsan, I heard there was a café that used loads of fruit, so I stopped by Gwaireui Sup Yeosu Branch (과일의숲 여수점). Its name already sounded as though it would be full of fruit, and when I actually visited, there were all sorts of dessert options, from bingsu (shaved ice dessert) to juice and crêpes.

More than anything, the melon bingsu I had that day was much better than I expected, so it really stayed with me. There was seriously so much melon, and the fruit itself was fresh, so I enjoyed it right down to the last bite. Plus, three adorable dogs wandered around the café and kept trotting after people, which was fun to watch too haha.

A container-style space and outdoor tables

Gwaireui Sup is a container-style space, a little different from a typical café building. The surrounding area is decorated with lush green plants and pots, creating the feeling of stepping into a little forest, just like the café’s name.
There are outdoor tables as well as seats inside the container, so on a nice day it would be lovely to spend some unhurried time outside. It was hot on the day I visited, so I settled into the cool interior. It is colorful and charmingly decorated overall, making it a nice Yeosu café for photos too.
A Dolsan café that was easy to park at during the trip

You often get around by car when traveling in Yeosu, and the spacious parking area in front of the café made parking easy. I liked not having to circle around looking for a spot, and it was a good place to stop for a short rest while traveling around Dolsan.
A varied menu, from bingsu to juice and crêpes

Perhaps because it specializes in fruit, the café had a wide range of bingsu, along with desserts like fruit juice and crêpes. We ordered the melon bingsu that day. If you visit with a group, the menu is also well suited to ordering several things and sharing them. The fruit bingsu seems to use seasonal fruit, so it is fun that you can try different fruit depending on when you visit.
Soft milk bingsu generously topped with melon
The menu I was most looking forward to that day was, of course, the melon bingsu. But when it arrived, there was far more melon than I had expected.
The bingsu was piled high with melon. It was not just a couple of pieces on top—it really felt like you were properly eating fruit.
Most of all, the melon was genuinely fresh. Even if there is lots of fruit, it is disappointing when it does not taste good, but the melon I had that day was juicy and sweet, and went so well with the bingsu.
It was delicious eaten on its own first, and just as good spooned up with the soft milk bingsu.

Cool, sweet melon paired with soft bingsu was the perfect combination for a hot day. I think anyone who likes melon would be quite satisfied. Personally, I loved that there was such a generous amount of fruit—melon just kept appearing as I ate haha.
Three dogs trotting around the café
And the cutest point of the café that day haha. There were no fewer than three dogs, wandering here and there around the café and trotting after people.

Even when they were sitting quietly, they would scamper over, go somewhere else, and then appear again—it was so cute.
If you love dogs, I think your eyes will naturally drift their way more than once while you are at the café.
It is dog-friendly too, so it is a good option for people traveling around Yeosu with their own pets.
And the owner was truly kind as well. It was my first visit, but they made me feel comfortable, so I had a really pleasant stay overall.

Along with bingsu, there were plenty of dessert choices including crêpes and fruit juice, and the green-filled space was pretty too.

More than anything, the three dogs trotting around were so adorable, and the owner was kind too, so I could relax comfortably. If you are looking for a Yeosu café or café dessert in Dolsan, Yeosu—especially on a day when you want fruit-packed bingsu—I recommend Gwaireui Sup 🍈🌿
