Yeosu dessert café a short walk from Jinnamgwan parking: Jwasuyeong
In short
Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger is a dessert café on Dongmun-ro in Yeosu, near Yi Sun-sin Square and Jinnamgwan. Parking at the Jinnamgwan public lot and walking over, the writer took away a baguette burger, Geomundo Island sea-breeze mugwort ice cream and ttungkaron (chubby macarons) for their parents, then ate by the nearby beach. Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger also has wide hall tables and a bar table for solo travellers, making it an easy stop to sit and rest.

It's been a while since I went on a Yeosu trip. Yeosu really has so many great dessert cafés. Of all of them, the one I most wanted to try was Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger, so here's my review!

Where is Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger, and where do you park?
Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger sits on the 1st floor on Dongmun-ro in Yeosu, near the Jinnamgwan public parking lot, so it's an easy walk from there. Since the store is right on the roadside, I'd recommend using that nearby public lot for parking.

I stopped by mainly to get takeout, and clearly this place is famous as a café near Yi Sun-sin Square — the inside was cool, clean, and comfortable.

The hall tables are pretty spacious, and there's also a bar table for people traveling solo — a nice spot to sit and take a breather!

What to order: baguette burger, mugwort ice cream and ttungkaron
Looking over the menu at this Yeosu dessert spot, we ordered a ttungkaron (chunky macaron) for my parents, a baguette burger, and a Geomundo Island sea-breeze mugwort ice cream, one of each.

There's such a variety of food near Yi Sun-sin Square that I'd recommend wandering and snacking rather than sitting down at just one restaurant. The ice cream, made with 100% Geomundo Island sea-breeze mugwort, melted down cool and rich.

We got our Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger order packed to go and ate it sitting by the nearby beach. Feeling the cool Yeosu breeze, I congratulated myself a hundred times over for finding this spot, haha.

How does the baguette burger taste? Crisp crust, soft inside, spicy salad
Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside — that's the charm of this original Yeosu dessert spot's baguette burger. Personally, I loved that it came with a spicy salad mixed in, which kept it from getting boring at all. I regretted a hundred times over not buying a second one.

Taking home a box of ttungkaron macarons for my parents
My parents in Gangjin love ttungkaron, so I raced to get some packed to take to them — and they packed it so carefully that nothing got messed up, still looking pretty!

The ttungkaron are so cute-looking too, haha. Yeosu is famous for chewy rice cakes, ice cream, and mugwort, but if you want to enjoy the variety at cafés near Yi Sun-sin Square, be sure to try the ttungkaron too.

The chewy texture is such a charm point of this Yeosu dessert spot. If you're looking for a must-visit food stop near Yi Sun-sin Square on your trip, be sure to fully enjoy the variety of menu items at Jwasuyeong.
