Gongdeok Station café 6-piece dessert box for a house party: Fluffy
In short
Fluffy Bake Shop is a baked-goods bakery café on Baekbeom-ro 31-gil in Mapo, Seoul, near Gongdeok Station. Shopping for dessert to bring to a friends' get-together at home, the writer boxed up six items — a chocolate canelé, an egg tart, Hallabong (Jeju citrus), vanilla and Nutella madeleines, and a chocolate financier — and the vanilla madeleine, eaten first, was moist right at the cut edge with a gentle sweetness. Fluffy Bake Shop is an easy stop for packing up desserts to eat with coffee.

I had a friends' gathering at home coming up and was trying to figure out what to bring, when I thought of getting dessert 🍰 to go with coffee.

Rather than just grabbing anything, I wanted something pretty and tasty, so after some searching I ended up at Fluffy Bake Shop near Gongdeok Station. Today's mission: madeleines and financiers! And if I spotted canelés, I'd grab one of those too haha.

My first thought when I arrived was, "Ooh, I want to take photos here!" 📸 The clean white exterior had that current, aesthetic vibe down. The kind of place that makes you want to snap pictures everywhere and post them on Instagram 😂

Inside, there were more customers than I expected, so I took my time looking around. From the cute little props to the neatly arranged space, everything was decorated nicely, making it fun just to browse.

Desserts baked in-house at Fluffy Bake Shop

Looking further inside, one side had rows of freshly baked breads on display. The moment I walked in, that delicious baked-goods smell hit me 🧁🥐🍰🍪... honestly, a smell like that is hard to just walk past haha. Every single pastry was baked beautifully, so just browsing was fun.

There were more options than I expected, so I spent a long time deciding what to pick. The packaging was also nicely done, so it looked good for gifting to friends or for group gifts too. It seemed like they actually get a lot of group gift and corporate orders, and if you reserve ahead, they can prepare things to schedule.
Choosing six pastries from the Fluffy Bake Shop case
After the crowd thinned out a bit, I browsed slowly and picked... but honestly, everything looked delicious 😂 Even though I got there early, some menu items were already running low.

I thought, of course the popular items sell out fast — but since they keep baking more in the back, I figured there was no need to worry about running out of dessert 🥰 After a lot of deliberation, I ended up with six items on my tray!
- 1 chocolate canelé
- 1 egg tart
- Yuzu madeleine
- Vanilla madeleine
- Nutella madeleine
- Chocolate financier

The egg tart in particular had only 2 left, so I thought "Oh, I need to grab this fast!" and put it straight on my tray haha. Some things you just don't hesitate over 😂

Since I'd be eating these at home with friends, I skipped the box packaging. But you know how it is... seeing everything in those pretty boxes makes you want to grab one of those too haha.

Unboxing the Fluffy Bake Shop dessert box at home

Bringing it home and taking things out one by one 🎀 oh wow 🎀 even without box packaging, the individual wrapping was done so carefully that I was impressed all over again. It looked pretty just as it was.

The visuals were more than pretty enough to bring as dessert to a friends' gathering. Just setting out a few pretty desserts seems to instantly lift the mood of the table 😊
Vanilla madeleine with an iced americano

I meant to wait until my friends arrived, but... I was craving iced Americano so badly haha. So I ended up trying just one first. First taste of the day: vanilla madeleine! Cutting it in half, the cut side already looked moist. One bite in and — "oh? this is good?" 😋 Moist and soft with a gentle sweetness.

Madeleines sometimes end up a bit dry, but this one was moist and soft, which I loved. And of course, iced Americano goes with dessert ☕️ A sip of iced Americano followed by a bite of madeleine — ah, that combo is just too good haha. This was honestly one of the best madeleines I've ever had. Ended up eating one before my friends even arrived 😂
Six desserts to share at a friends' house party

It also seemed like a nice date spot near Gongdeok for enjoying coffee and dessert with a friend.
Would I stop by Fluffy Bake Shop in Gongdeok again?
Today I took everything to go to eat with friends at home, but next time I want to actually enjoy the coffee and dessert in the store.

With so many kinds of madeleines and even financiers and canelés, I'll have to try different items next time. I'm especially curious about the desserts I didn't get to try today haha. If I have any reason to be in Gongdeok, I'm definitely stopping by again! 🛍️

Just thinking about eating tasty dessert and chatting with friends made picking these up feel great already. Thanks to delicious dessert, it was a happy day today too 🤎
