I was looking for a light, solo-friendly lunch spot near Seolleung Station and wanted something healthy, so I went to Hola Poke Seolleung Branch (올라포케 선릉점).

Solo dining at Hola Poke Seolleung Branch: what are the single tables like?
Hola Poke Seolleung Branch has lots of single tables, which makes it great for solo dining. Salads and poke bowls are especially popular for eating alone, right? Maybe that's why the whole atmosphere here felt so comfortable and easy for solo diners — I really liked it.

The store had great natural light and plenty of single tables, and when I visited, everyone was eating alone — truly a solo-dining holy site, haha.

Even better, every single table had an outlet and a phone stand!

It's a nice spot to relax and check your phone while eating a salad alone, and if you work near Seolleung Station, it'd be fine for a quick bit of work over lunch. But please don't actually work during your precious mealtime, that's just sad..
What I ordered at Hola Poke and what it cost
- Poke & soup set base ₩13,500
- Super Protein poke +₩3,500
- Salad 7 : oat brown rice 3
- Chili garlic mayo sauce
- Mushroom soup +₩1,000
- Added octopus +₩1,500
- Total order price ₩20,500
Poke & soup set
I picked the poke as a protein bomb! I went with Super Protein, a 7:3 salad-to-brown-rice ratio, chili garlic mayo sauce, and added octopus.

Hola Poke's set comes with a choice of two soups — spicy tomato soup or mushroom soup — so I went with the mild mushroom soup.
Can you change the poke salad-to-rice ratio for free?
At Hola Poke Seolleung Branch, you can choose your salad-to-rice ratio for free. Usually salads or poke bowls come in a set portion with no choice, right?

But this Seolleung poke spot lets veggie-loving customers like me choose a 7:3 salad-to-brown-rice ratio, which I loved.

Usually when I order poke, there's more rice than I expect and I end up leaving some, but here I could adjust the ratio to what I wanted, so I finished everything down to the last bite. If you're more of a rice person, go the opposite way, haha. You can also swap the rice for soba noodles.

You can also add or remove toppings to your taste. At the kiosk you can add or exclude whatever ingredients you want, so if there's a topping you dislike, just take it out ahead of time.
Super Protein Poke: how generous are the toppings?
Hola Poke Seolleung Branch's Super Protein Poke really lives up to its name in protein and toppings. It's loaded with shredded chicken breast and salmon, plus half an avocado on top.

On top of that come the standard toppings — corn, chickpeas, seaweed salad, lentils, pineapple, beet rapee, and more — so the base topping lineup is already solid, and even though it's a salad, it left me full. It wasn't a boring all-veggie poke; the sweetness, nuttiness, and crunch all mixed together, making it fun to eat.

Is the octopus topping worth the extra 1,500 won?
And I really want to recommend the octopus topping (+₩1,500) I tried for the first time this visit. The octopus was springy and had almost no fishy smell — so good!
With salmon, chicken breast, and now octopus, the texture became a lot more varied, and it got tastier the more I chewed.
Why chili garlic mayo is the sauce to pick
For sauce, I went with chili garlic mayo! There weren't any reviews of it, which made me even more curious, and it turned out to be exactly my taste.
Compared to sriracha mayo, the spicy kick isn't as strong, and the garlic and chili flavors come through — familiar yet delicious.

If sriracha mayo's slightly exotic flavor isn't your thing, try the chili garlic mayo, haha.

For sauce people who can't eat poke without enough sauce! If the standard amount feels too little, there's also soy sauce at the self-serve bar.
Mushroom soup that tastes like a soup shop's
And then the mushroom soup, my pick of the two soup options!

Since it's mainly a salad and poke place, I wasn't expecting much, but it was surprisingly delicious! Whoa!
It had a soft, smooth texture with a strong mushroom flavor that wasn't greasy at all, and it paired perfectly with the poke — I practically ate the bowl itself.
Since I'm dieting and only eat one meal a day, salad alone can feel a bit lacking, so adding a warm soup made it just right.
Verdict: is Hola Poke Seolleung Branch a good solo meal near Seolleung Station?
Hola Poke near Seolleung Station turned out to be a genuinely good spot for a healthy meal.
Not just the food, but the bright store with plenty of single tables for solo dining, plus being able to choose the salad-to-brown-rice ratio exactly how you want — it's all great.
