Inside Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch: seating and wait at 5:30pm

A spacious, clean interior! Perfect for group gatherings or family meals in Yeoju. Also great for grabbing a meal after a round of golf in Yeoju~

We got there at 5:30 and could sit right away, but by around 6pm every table had filled up! Definitely a Yeoju favorite~ There may be a wait, so get there early, everyone!
Menu and takeout: charcoal dakgalbi 250g for 16,000 won

The menu at Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi! Charcoal dakgalbi at 250g for ₩16,000 — such a reasonable price! (First order must be at least 2 servings.) There's also makguksu (buckwheat noodles), a perfect match for dakgalbi, plus sides like mandu (dumplings) and jeonbyeong (rice crepes)~

They also do takeout for dakgalbi, mandu, and jeonbyeong! Roughly ₩10,000 per serving, so really affordable~ If this were near my house I'd be picking it up all the time!ㅜㅜ

From dongchimi to soy sauce dakgalbi and charcoal dakgalbi

The basic side dish they bring right after ordering, dongchimi (watery radish kimchi), was seriously refreshing and cool. Maybe from the latte I'd had earlier, I was feeling a bit queasy and off, but one sip of the dongchimi broth totally cleared it up!

The soy sauce dakgalbi and charcoal dakgalbi we ordered. Soy sauce dakgalbi comes standard with rice cake.

Time to put the pre-cooked dakgalbi onto the charcoal grill~ The staff grill everything for you, so it's totally hassle-free! (Thank you so much haha)
My dakgalbi cooking up nicely, crispy and chewy~

Once the meat is fully cooked, they gather it into one spot, moved away from the flame like this.

Exactly like this! The meat stays warm without burning — such a clever move! And behind their backs, I sneaked in some grilled garlic too haha.
Well-grilled dakgalbi~ Time for the first bite! Soy sauce dakgalbi with its sweet-and-salty charm, and the spicy seasoned dakgalbi! Both sauces cling to your mouth so well! The charcoal-grilled dakgalbi was so chewy, with a crispy skin on the outside. Just so delicious~~

It also pairs so well with the perilla leaf sauce side dish~ The dongchimi radish was nice and crunchy too, a great match with the meat. Goes great with yeolmu kimchi as well! Not a single side dish that isn't good.

And of course, my beloved's desire-fueled wrap. He kept saying how good it was the entire meal!
Large-portion bibim makguksu with rice cakes and dakgalbi

I also ordered bibim makguksu (spicy mixed buckwheat noodles). And in the large portion, too! Mixed it all up nice and thoroughly~

Glossy, deeply flavorful makguksu! It went so well with the nutty sesame oil. Top it with a piece of dakgalbi and it's out of this world! Mixing everything together, I just couldn't stop eating~

The rice cake was really tasty too. It's just grilled over fire, so why is it this good?ㅜ Definitely the crispiest one I've had in a while haha.

Enjoyed every last bite~ As an honorary Chuncheon native, I hereby approve this dakgalbi spot, Seorak Makguksu Chuncheon Dakgalbi Yeoju IC Branch. I'd guess it's probably the best charcoal dakgalbi restaurant in all of Yeoju. Highly recommend!
