City Hall Station burger and beer: Stella supersize at Daily Fix

There's a combo I'm completely obsessed with these days: 'hambaek' (burger + beer)! Hahahaha once you get hooked on this magic, you turn around and think about it again, and keep wanting to go eat it haha

So not long ago I revisited my favorite burger spot, Daily Fix Euljiro, where I'd eaten so happily before!

Daily Fix Euljiro: an easy walk from City Hall Station

Daily Fix Euljiro sits in a spot that's easy to reach whether you're searching for a City Hall Station restaurant or walking over from Euljiro 1-ga. Daily Fix has branches well spread across different areas, so it's really convenient to find a nearby location whenever that intense hambaek craving hits haha

The Euljiro branch I visited in particular was perfectly located for access from either City Hall Station or Euljiro 1-ga!

Inside Daily Fix Euljiro: a wide hall and many foreign guests

The moment I stepped inside Daily Fix Euljiro, my first impression was 'wow, this is really spacious!' The seat spacing was generous and the store itself was huge haha

Plus, the big windows were open wide, so even staying inside a long time never felt stuffy — it was really pleasant. And what was interesting was how many foreign guests were in the store haha

Thanks to that, it felt less like Korea and more like an actual local pub abroad — such an exotic atmosphere!

The foreign guests seemed to love Daily Fix's signature stylish, sophisticated interior too, since I saw them taking photos all over the place haha. The trendy vibe got me excited before I'd even eaten a bite haha

The order: patty melt burger, chili cheese fries, Stella supersize beer

That day at Daily Fix Euljiro I ordered a Stella supersize beer, the new patty melt burger, and chili cheese fries. Honestly I'd basically only had milk all day so I was starving, and started ordering like a storm the moment I sat down!

First, to cool my throat, I ordered a massive Stella supersize beer, and for the burger I picked the brand-new 'patty melt burger'!

Instead of the usual round bun, it comes on a toast-bread style bun, so the visual alone sparked my curiosity haha. And since chili cheese fries are the beer's perfect partner, I ordered those too!

My ambitious plan was to first fill up on the hearty patty melt, then slowly enjoy the chili cheese fries as a snack with the remaining cold beer haha. When the new patty melt showed up, it already passed the visual test!

How does the patty melt burger taste?

Daily Fix's patty melt had bread toasted really hard and crispy on the outside. The moment I bit in, inside the crunchy toast texture I found a juicy meat patty and onions braised down in a deep, sweet sauce,

and wow... the harmony between the toast and the fillings was truly perfect, T_T

The crispiness, the savory notes, and the umami of the caramelized onions all came together, and with a sip of beer it was absolutely insane haha. It's no wonder it pairs so well with hambaek — the beer pairing was truly a home run!

Are the chili cheese fries good with beer?

Next I tried the chili cheese fries, and the generous chili cheese sauce piled on top was fantastic on its own. The umami-rich chili sauce and savory cheese soaked right into the crispy fries,

and I had to admit — this is truly the best beer snack haha. It's an addictive flavor that keeps you reaching for more! Usually at regular fast food or burger places the drink options are limited to just cola or sprite, which can be disappointing, right?

But Daily Fix doesn't just sell regular sodas — they properly stock a wide variety of beers to suit your taste, which is exactly why I love it and keep coming back haha. Between the delicious burger, the cool supersize beer, and the perfect chili cheese fries, all my stress that day just melted away haha
