I went out to Ilsan and the weather was a bit gloomy, so somehow I was craving something spicy?? That's how I ended up at Jimidang!! It's the perfect place to go when you're craving spicy braised pork ribs! Let's get right into my review of Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch, a popular braised rib restaurant in Ilsan!

Arrived at Jimidang! It's near a residential area, but it turns out this is where a bunch of good restaurants cluster! There's even a waiting zone!
Jimidang has been running in the same spot for 8 years now! It survived some tough times when business was rough too, which shows how many steady regulars keep coming back!

Inside Jimidang Ilsan Main Branch there are 7 tables total, and the standard is 4 people! The tables are pretty big, which I like!
Kind of surprising — 8 years in business and it's still this clean?? The signage on the wall even had a bit of the owner's philosophy written into it, and it really shows in details like this.
Trust level up another notch when I saw the ingredient info for each item! No wonder... honestly when you eat it, the spice is clean, and now I know why!
There's a fan at every table, and floss and hair ties are ready too! The moment they saw I was pregnant they brought over a separate cushion — this kind of attention to detail really won me over!

Jimidang's basic menu is spicy braised pork ribs, composed as a set meal: spicy braised pork ribs + gondre rice + Bongpyeong buckwheat pancake! You can order sets sized to your party, which is great~ On top of that, an extra buckwheat pancake is only ₩3,000, which is really nice!
You can adjust the spice level, and the gondre rice pairs so well with the braised rib sauce that I really recommend ordering the set!
You can add extra noodles when ordering, and if you do the Naver review event the add-on gets discounted! Plus bean sprouts get refilled, which is genuinely great!

Here comes the food!!
The buckwheat pancake comes out first and the size is honestly huge! For ₩3,000, that's insane!
The spicy braised ribs arrived alongside it!! The great thing is it comes fully cooked already, so you can just dig in right away!
Loaded with bean sprouts too, and you can see the glass noodles in there? Amazing!
The gondre rice showed up too~~ I tried it and honestly the gondre rice alone was delicious?
Time to properly dig into the set!

How do Jimidang's braised pork ribs taste at the mild level?
Totally amazing, right?? The portion is huge, and you can really feel the spice, but it's not artificial-tasting at all, just clean! Eating the bean sprouts and glass noodles together with the buckwheat pancake or gondre rice is genuinely delicious!
The braised ribs especially are incredible — the meat falls off so easily! Can you see it? Hold it with tongs, push with chopsticks, and it just slides right off, so good!
?????? When I first walked in there was only one table seated, but by the time I was eating, the place had suddenly filled up completely;; there was even an 8-person group waiting....
