They also have several lunch menu items, so it might be worth visiting at lunchtime too :)
Where do you park near Baekseok Kkogijip?
Unfortunately, Baekseok Kkogijip has no parking in front of the restaurant ㅠㅠ You'll need to use the paid Baekseok public street parking lot!
Group tables and atmosphere inside Baekseok Kkogijip
Walking into Baekseok Kkogijip, I was greeted by a wide, open space. The tables are spaced generously too, so you can eat comfortably without feeling cramped.

Along with tables for four, there's also group seating perfectly suited for larger parties. That's probably why it's so popular for company dinners and family gatherings near Baekseok Station! There's also a high chair, so families with young kids can eat comfortably too 👶

At Baekseok Kkogijip, the meat is fully grilled the moment you order it! Because of that, the restaurant itself stays pleasant with no meaty smell :)

Looking over the menu, they had samgyeopsal (pork belly) and various other types of meat, plus a solid lineup of meal items. It's known as a great samgyeopsal spot near Baekseok, and the menu really backs that up!
How clean is the self-serve bar?
It's really clean and the vegetables are super fresh! There's a neatly arranged self-serve bar off to one side of Baekseok Kkogijip 🥬 It's stocked generously with fresh lettuce and perilla leaves for wraps, along with garlic, ssamjang (dipping sauce), and side dishes. You can help yourself to as much as you want without feeling awkward about it, which I really liked haha
What's on the Baekseok Kkogijip menu?

Looking over the menu, it's a solid lineup perfect for a meat party! Alongside the tender marinated pork and the luxurious marinated beef short rib — their signature dishes — there's also a full lineup of raw meats like clean, juicy samgyeopsal and pork neck. No wonder it's known as a samgyeopsal spot near Baekseok! There's also a good selection of stews and naengmyeon (cold noodles) for a meal, perfect to pair with the meat :)

Free sides: doenjang jjigae, steamed egg and corn cheese
Once we sat down, the basic side dishes were neatly set out! Crunchy, savory scallion salad, mountain garlic leaves that pair perfectly with meat, and radish salad — the lineup was really solid! Each side dish was seasoned just right and clean, whetting my appetite even before the meat arrived haha

On top of that, doenjang jjigae, steamed egg, and corn cheese are all part of the free side dish lineup!!! Isn't that amazing?? haha All of these are basic side dishes, so enjoy them all :)
Our order: one serving of marinated pork, one of marinated beef short rib
Today at Baekseok Kkogijip, we ordered one serving of marinated pork and one serving of marinated beef short rib and enjoyed them fully!

One of the biggest advantages of Baekseok Kkogijip is that it's a pre-grilled Korean BBQ restaurant near Baekseok Station! After it's grilled, they place it on the tabletop grill to keep it warm :) No smoke or meaty smell, so we could eat really cleanly, which was so nice haha
This one's the marinated beef short rib!
This one's the marinated pork!
Marinated beef short rib (1 serving) 🐮
Such a luxurious marinated beef short rib! The sight of it cooking golden-brown on the grill and the savory aroma made my mouth water instantly 🤤 True to beef short rib, the texture was really tender, and the more I chewed, the more depth of savoriness came through! The rich marinade flavor brought out the meat's own taste, and it was genuinely impressive. It has a different, softer charm than the marinated pork, so I was really glad we ordered both to compare!

Marinated pork (1 serving) 🐷
They carefully placed the marinated pork on the grill first! The marinade had soaked deep into the meat, sweet and savory-salty all the way through! The moment I took a bite, tender texture and juicy flavor filled my mouth! The sweet-and-salty balance wasn't overdone, so I kept eating without getting tired of it. Wrapping it with a piece of fresh lettuce from the self-serve bar and a clove of garlic was absolutely delicious! haha
Review event: free bingsu

If you participate in the review event, you also get a delicious, cool bingsu, so be sure to join in!
