A duck feast that works well for family meals
When you are having a meal with family, even choosing the menu can be a surprisingly tricky decision, right? One person likes meat, another likes rice. Before you know it, you end up ordering all sorts of things. 😅 This time, I visited Keunsawi Ori Jip Bucheon Okgil Main Branch (큰사위 오리집 부천옥길본점), where you can enjoy a generous spread of several dishes at once.
The address is 1st floor, 57-10 Yeondong-ro, Sosa-gu, Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do. 📍

What comes with the three-person Signature Set?
The menu we ordered that day was the Keunsawi Signature Set for three. Looking at what it includes, it is quite a spread.
- Duck dori-tang (spicy duck stew)
- Hinoki-steamed duck
- Tasting portion of perilla chicken
- Vegetable add-ons
- Rice-cake add-ons
- Three-color fried rice
At first, I thought, “This should be fine for three people?” But once the dishes started arriving one after another, the table was completely full. 👀

From perilla chicken to fried rice, a hearty meal

Having duck with the hot broth really confirmed that dishes like this taste best when everyone is gathered around the table! You can add vegetables and rice cakes too, so it was fun choosing the ingredients we wanted as we ate. 🥢 And then, fried rice at the end! As we kept eating, I naturally started wondering, “Can we finish all of this?” 😂
Hinoki-steamed duck alongside the stew
I liked that the Signature Set also lets you enjoy hinoki-steamed duck. Since it is another way to enjoy duck besides the duck dori-tang, the meal did not feel repetitive. You can pick up the hinoki-steam sauce at the self-service bar, and vegetables to have alongside it are prepared too, so it was easy to eat it the way I liked. 🌱

Picking up accompaniments at the self-service bar
We could also use the self-service bar during the meal. It had gondeure rice (rice with Korean thistle), kimchi, hinoki-steam sauce, and more. The gondeure rice was especially nice when I wanted some rice alongside the meat. 🍚 The vegetable bar had perilla leaves, garlic, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), and peppers, so whenever I wanted to wrap the duck in ssam, I could easily bring over what I needed. With a self-service bar like this, you somehow end up going back for more. 😆

Tasting perilla chicken and three-color fried rice
Another unexpectedly fun dish was the tasting portion of perilla chicken. Rather than eating only duck throughout, the set also includes chicken, so I thought there would be less to worry about when choosing dishes for a group. It is a great setup for visiting with family and sharing a bit of everything!
And of course, fried rice is the perfect way to finish a meal. After the three-color fried rice, I was truly full. When the food first arrived, it was fun trying each of the many dishes one by one, but by the end I definitely felt, “We really ate well today!” 😋 Rather than somewhere for a quick meal, it felt like a good place for a leisurely family dinner.

Kind service and post-meal maesil tea
The staff were kind as well, so we could eat comfortably. At a restaurant you visit with family, the food matters, but you also quietly pay attention to the atmosphere and service, right? I liked that we could relax over our meal. 👍

After finishing our meal, we could also have free maesil tea (plum tea). Ending a filling meal with a warm or cold cup of maesil tea made it feel as if they had looked after us through the very end. 🍵 Little services like this are what stay with you.
A family meal for sharing several dishes
If you are looking for somewhere to eat with family around Okgil-dong, this is worth considering. With duck dori-tang, hinoki-steamed duck, perilla chicken, and fried rice all served as one spread, it suited a family meal well. When several people visit, a varied set like this is definitely more convenient than settling on just one dish. 🥰
After properly enjoying everything from duck and hinoki-steamed duck to perilla chicken and fried rice, we had a truly filling meal that day. If duck and a family meal are both on your mind in Okgil-dong, Bucheon, you may enjoy this generous set spread. 🦆
