I'd been curious about this brunch spot in Tangjeong for a while — people kept saying it was really good — so I finally made it out.

Bottom line first: the place was spacious and pretty, and both the coffee and food were satisfying! Here's my honest review of When You Bite : )

It's a brunch café in Tangjeong with a public parking lot right next to the store, so I didn't have to worry about parking at all. No circling the block looking for a spot — I could just park and walk in, which made the whole visit feel easy from the start. That's actually a surprisingly big deal — if a brunch café stresses you out over parking, you hesitate to go back next time.

Brunch is available from 9:30am, so early risers should keep that in mind. For detailed menus or updates, it's best to check the store's social media.
What's the vibe like inside?
The moment I walked in, the store felt bigger than I expected.

It has a greenhouse feel, with plants placed naturally throughout, so photos turned out pretty no matter where I shot from!

The space itself feels open, not cramped at all, so it was nice to sit and relax.

Tables were spaced generously too, so we could chat comfortably without worrying about the next table over.
The taste test: truffle cream gnocchi and signature lasagna
We ordered the truffle cream gnocchi and the signature lasagna.

The truffle cream gnocchi had a rich cream sauce that wasn't heavy at all, so I kept going back for more spoonfuls. The truffle aroma was subtle and lovely.

The lasagna felt packed all the way through, and the cheese and sauce came together really well — both dishes were satisfying.

We also ordered coffee, and it had a nice nutty flavor — perfect alongside brunch! For two women eating together with coffee, the portion was just right. If you're a big eater, adding one more dish might be a good idea.

I already know I need to try the signature 100-hour aged jambon-beurre sandwich next time haha. A friend of mine had it and said it was delicious too. Eggs Benedict is apparently a popular menu item too, so I'll be sure to try that on my next visit!

They also have a separate wine list, so it seems like a great spot not just for brunch but for a casual glass of wine too — good for dates or gatherings! If you're looking for a wine as a gift, it's worth browsing here too.
Weekday waiting and timing your visit
I visited around 12:30pm on a weekday, and the place had quite a few people in it. Luckily there was no wait, and about 2-3 tables were still open, so we could sit down right away.

The food came out faster than expected too, so we ate comfortably without any waiting around. Everything arrived at once, so there was no awkward waiting between dishes either.
Is it okay to visit with kids?
They have baby chairs ready, so parents with babies should be able to enjoy brunch here comfortably too.

The store is spacious enough for a stroller, and when it's busy, it has a lively, noisy atmosphere, so it seemed fine to bring kids along too. If I visit again, I'm planning to bring my child along!
A Tangjeong brunch café I'd like to visit again
This time I ate the truffle cream gnocchi and lasagna and was very satisfied.

Next time, I've decided I need to try the signature 100-hour aged jambon-beurre sandwich and the popular eggs Benedict. Next time I'll go with my husband and child and try everything my child wants to eat, including a pasta for her haha.
Wrapping up
Overall, this was a really satisfying brunch café find in Tangjeong. The truffle cream gnocchi stood out the most, and I also loved the spacious, pleasant atmosphere of the store.

Parking is easy and there's little wait stress on weekdays, so if you're looking for a Tangjeong brunch café, this one is worth considering. Whenever I think of brunch next, I think When You Bite will be the first place that comes to mind. I'll visit again with my husband and child and share another review : )
