Suwon Italian restaurant for a cozy weekday meal: Low Five Sinpung

When you’re craving Italian food in Haenggung-dong, this is absolutely the place to go. Low Five is already suuuper hot as a Haenggung-dong pizza and pasta spot. I prefer the atmosphere at the Sinpung branch, so that’s where I went.

After parking, I lugged my still-sleepy little one over to Low Five Sinpung. Whenever I go to Haenggung-dong, I always park at Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot~ Even if there’s a wait, it tends to move quickly.

On weekends, the front of the restaurant is packed with waiting guests, but we targeted that little sweet spot right after weekday break time, when it wouldn’t be busy.

Low Five Sinpung looks stylish from the outside, too.

We made a reservation on Catchtable from inside the restaurant, and while waiting outside, an incredibly kind staff member came out and even brought us a menu to look over in advance.

This is what the outdoor area is like. The seats are sooo pretty, but I’ve never actually seen anyone eating outside; it feels like they’re mostly for waiting or photo time.

Seating for dates and group meals

The Sinpung branch has a warm wood-toned interior throughout. It’s spacious, with lots of different kinds of seating. Other Italian restaurants in Haenggung-dong can feel a little more compact and cute, but Low Five Sinpung seems like somewhere you could come with a bigger group, too~ The tables are nicely spaced out, so it’s perfect for a date as well haha.

There are window seats with high chairs like this, too~ It’s so pretty to sit here when a little sunlight comes in. It has an open kitchen, and you can grab anything extra you need from the self-service bar~ The restroom isn’t inside, so you need to take this key and use the building restroom~

After taking all the photos we wanted, we finally sat down. The staff set us up with cold water and tableware as soon as we were seated.

And I got one photo of Mom, too. I think this Boen basic tee is over eight years old, and I can still wear it this well? Boen really is the best 👍 And can a cup be this pretty?

The Row Park Tote Medium I had waited and waited for. The Row had to come along when I came to Low Five, right? Haha, it really is sooo pretty. I carried the black one all winter, right up until it was practically turning into a black plastic bag, but the ivory is even prettier.

Avocado kimchi fried rice

Here comes the avocado kimchi fried rice. Last time I ordered the version without avocado, so this time I got the one with avocado for an extra ₩1,000~ Well-fried kimchi fried rice topped with a fluffy, thick egg, and avocado on top of that.

It’s spicy and sweet. It doesn’t taste totally like Korean-style kimchi fried rice; it has a little touch of fancy Italian food added in. Whenever I come to Low Five, I always order this because pizza and pasta alone might get a bit rich. My husband, who isn’t friends with avocado, says it’s better without it haha. Next time, I should get it without avocado lol.

Half-and-half corn and hot pepperoni pizza

This is the wood-fired pizza we ordered half-and-half. My little one can’t eat spicy food, so corn for her, and hot pepperoni for my husband, who loves it.

Low Five pizza needs no explanation. Personally, it’s easily one of my top three pizza places in Haenggung-dong~ Crispy, with a wonderfully chewy crust, and the sweet corn pairing is amazing.

My little olive lover cried for more olives, so the sweet angel staff member brought us extra olives separately ㅜ The staff at Low Five Sinpung are truly so kind.

Hot Pot Pesce Pasta that makes you finish the broth

This is the Hot Pot Pesce Pasta. I love it too, and I ordered it for my jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) fanatic husband.

It has a generous amount of seafood, just the right amount of heat, and such delicious broth that we kept dipping the baguette in it haha.

Corn and hot chili potato pizza. Personally, I thought the hot chili potato was tastier than the hot pepperoni~

This is Low Five’s very famous Alfredo Cream Pasta, ₩18,000. It’s cream-based but slightly spicy, so you can enjoy it without it becoming too rich.

This is the classic lasagna~ They said it comes in limited quantities~ A chance to have high-quality lasagna in Haenggung-dong~ My little one ate this so well on our last visit, too~

They packed up the leftover pizza this cutely.

Low Five keeps making me think of Loewe. After we ate and came out, my husband took this photo in front of Low Five. An evening in Haenggung-dong with such a pretty sky. We ate our fill, so where should we go now?

Claw machines, of course. And there, we breezily blew the price of another whole chicken.

A walk along the fortress wall~ My little one said she could carry Mom’s bag and showed off her walk. My Park Tote only arrived yesterday... When I’m out with her, I should just carry an eco bag..

These Ralph Lauren Gordon pants I found at an outlet, which my husband always teases me are like a uniform. I seriously want them in every color. I’m going to wear them even more, like a tattoo.

Haenggung-dong is so nice for an evening walk, too. I need to come back for Low Five again~~
