I visited Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch with my parents. With ocean views through its floor-to-ceiling windows and private rooms, it is a nice place for a gathering. I made a reservation for 5:30 p.m. on a weekday, and they had prepared our table in advance.
An Ocean-View Chinese Restaurant on the Second Floor by Marine City Beach

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is on the second floor of a building facing Marine City Beach. Check for the Bueokgan Chinese sign at the first-floor entrance, then take the elevator up to the second floor.

Once inside, the first thing that caught my eye was the sea view filling the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The regular tables were generously spaced too, so the whole place felt roomy and comfortable.

Being able to enjoy the ocean view along with the food was especially memorable.
Private Rooms for Family Meals and Group Gatherings

There are small private rooms and an area with long tables, making the layout well suited to family meals or group gatherings where several people can dine together.

Side Dishes and Our Order

The basic side dishes were neatly served zhacai (pickled mustard stem) and danmuji (yellow pickled radish). They were just right for a light bite between the jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk.
An extra-large portion of jajangmyeon costs ₩2,000 more.
BUUK Jajangmyeon with Big Pieces of Pork

We ordered three bowls of jajangmyeon, choosing the extra-large size for one. This traditional-style jajangmyeon is made by gently simmering thick pork, onions, and cabbage over low heat for a long time.

Up close, the generous chunks of pork really stood out. Rather than finely minced meat, they had a satisfying chew, so you could really notice the pork with the noodles.
I mixed it well so the black bean sauce coated the noodles evenly. The glossy sauce, pork, and vegetables came together in such an appetizing way.

The pork and vegetable flavors blended naturally in this jajangmyeon. The noodles and sauce worked well together, making it a hearty bowl.
Pork Loin Tangsuyuk Enhanced with Black Vinegar

Bueokgan’s tangsuyuk uses a sauce made with Chinese black vinegar, bringing out a deep, rich flavor.

Even its coating of dark black-vinegar sauce made it look different from ordinary tangsuyuk. The sweet-and-sour flavor was joined by the distinctive character of black vinegar, giving the sauce more depth.

It was crisp outside and tender within, and the onions on the side added a fresh crunch that went really well with it.
Fish-Fragrant Dumplings from the Review Event

We also received fish-fragrant dumplings through a review event.

With onions and sauce on top, they had more savory depth than the dumplings alone. When I cut one in half, the filling was quite substantial too.
