They already looked adorable shaped like dol hareubang when I saw them in Jeju, but opening the box back home gave a whole different feeling. Since this was the Jeju souvenir I picked on the last day of the trip, taking them out one by one brought back the days I'd spent in Jeju all over again.

Harubangne comes in a total of 8 flavors — hallabong, matcha, carrot, baengnyeoncho, Earl Grey, black sesame, chocolate, and fig — so it was fun tasting them one by one.

My kid picked them out first for looking cute in the dol hareubang shape, but once we actually tasted them, they weren't just a pretty-looking Jeju dessert.

This Jeju dessert ended up being less of a simple snack and more of a small gift that keeps this Jeju trip in memory.
