Jeju City bakery for black sesame and fig madeleines: Today Jeju
In short
Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch is a bakery on the first floor of the Shilla Duty Free parking tower in Jeju City, selling madeleines shaped like Jeju's dol hareubang stone statues. With one hour left before returning a rental car on the last day of a 3-night, 4-day Jeju trip, the writer bought the Harubangne 8-flavor gift set for 28,200 won and tasted prickly pear, matcha, Earl Grey, chocolate, black sesame and fig. The madeleines were moist rather than dry, making Today Jeju a safe Jeju souvenir almost anyone will like.

Today Jeju: a madeleine bakery 10 minutes from Jeju Airport
Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch is a dol hareubang madeleine shop on Noyeon-ro in Jeju City, just 10 minutes from Jeju Airport. Last day of our 3-night, 4-day Jeju trip! With one precious hour left before returning our rental car near the airport, my family stopped by here.
After a Jeju trip, casual gifts like tangerine chocolate or peanut cookies are always nice, but sometimes you want something a little more special for someone you care about. Right when I was pondering that, I discovered the Harubangne madeleine set! From the lineup to the taste — the full review is below ^^
Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch, where we arrived, sits in the center of Jeju City on the way to the airport, making it a great stop to wrap up a Jeju trip.

Where to park at Today Jeju: free Shilla Duty Free parking tower
We were able to park for free at the Shilla Duty Free parking tower. We're not fans of mechanical parking, so I was a little flustered 🤔 Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch is on the first floor, directly across from where you enter the parking tower.
Stepping into the shop felt like Jeju itself had been transported inside — the fresh orange interior was so pretty. Colorful hareubang madeleines and sandwich-style treats everywhere.
Today Jeju gift sets and prices, from 16,400 to 29,800 won

- Harubangne 8-flavor half-and-half set ₩29,800

Beyond the plain Harubangne madeleines, there's also a Harubangne chocolate set coated in chocolate on top. The Harubangne 8-flavor set and the half-and-half set are the bestsellers,

and the ang-butter Harubangne and sandwich-style treats are also available for purchase.

You can also buy individually and build your own mix. Prices start at ₩3,400 each and vary by flavor~ What I got was the Harubangne 8-flavor gift set.

What's inside the 28,200-won Harubangne 8-flavor gift set
Finally, time to unbox!

A vivid orange box with a cute dol hareubang character — the packaging alone radiates a sense of style and quality ✨️ The visual makes you really look forward to what's inside.

Chocolate, prickly pear, matcha, Earl Grey, carrot, black sesame, fig, and hallabong — all 8 flavors lined up neatly. They'd actually gotten a bit jumbled from bouncing around in the suitcase, so I rearranged them myself!
How long Harubangne madeleines keep: 5 days at room temperature
Today Jeju's hareubang madeleines apparently contain no preservatives or additives. It's best to eat them as soon as possible after purchase, and for storage ⬇️ [room temperature 5 days / frozen 1 month]

They come individually wrapped, so it's hygienic.
Tasting the Harubangne madeleines: black sesame, fig, matcha and more
The most important question — will it actually taste good as a gift? I tried all 8 flavors of the Harubangne madeleines myself.

Prickly pear: not a strong prickly pear flavor, more of a sweet feel! Matcha: sweet-and-bitter balance for a luxurious green tea taste Earl Grey: a subtle flavor even I, someone who doesn't love black tea, could enjoy without any burden Chocolate: sweet, moist chocolate cake flavor Black sesame: a nutty flavor that spreads in your mouth with every bite of the black sesame tucked inside the madeleine Fig: has a nutty, chewy bite that gives it a distinctive taste
The madeleines weren't dry at all — soft, and overall pretty delicious across the board. Passed the test as a Jeju souvenir! 😀
Are Today Jeju madeleines a good Jeju souvenir?
The Today Jeju Harubangne madeleine set stands out shaped like the dol hareubang, a symbol of Jeju, and with its varied flavor lineup, it feels like a Jeju souvenir that isn't the usual choice. With a moist texture and subtle flavors that shouldn't disappoint anyone, plus upscale packaging and a unique dol hareubang look, if I received this as a gift, I'd think 'wow, they really put thought into this?!' and be touched 🤗
It pairs perfectly with an americano, and would probably melt in your mouth with milk 🥛 too~ If you're looking for an upscale Jeju dessert, I recommend the Harubangne madeleine set at Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch!
