Traveling around Jeju, it's always a bit of a dilemma what souvenir to bring back before heading home. Instead of the usual trinkets, I was looking for something that still felt like Jeju but also worked as a gift, which led me to Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch.

Where is Today Jeju, and can local shoppers go in?

Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch is on the 1st floor of Shilla Duty Free at 69 Noyeon-ro, Jeju City. It's in Yeondong, not far from Jeju Airport, so it was easy to stop by on the last day of the trip.

Since it's inside Shilla Duty Free, I wondered if you had to do duty-free shopping to use it, but it turns out domestic customers can shop here too, so it was easy to just walk in. If you're driving, you can use the Shilla Duty Free parking tower.

For location, don't go in through the duty-free entrance — instead walk a bit down from the entrance to where there are benches and people sitting around, and the shop is right there.

What the Today Jeju shop looks like inside

Walking into Today Jeju, the first thing that caught my eye was the bright orange color scheme. It naturally brings to mind Jeju tangerines, and stones and plants are used throughout to give it that Jeju feel.

The dessert packaging was also colorful and fun to look through, and there were Jeju-themed goods on display as well.

What is Harubangne, the dol hareubang-shaped baked treat?

Today Jeju's signature item is Harubangne, baked treats shaped like dol hareubang (stone grandfather statues). The shape alone screams Jeju, and it caught my eye the moment I saw it.

For a gift, taste matters, but so does the first impression when it's opened — and with the cute dol hareubang shape and clean packaging, this felt right at home as a Jeju souvenir.

The 8 Harubangne flavors

Harubangne isn't just one flavor — there are 8 to choose from: hallabong (Jeju citrus), carrot, prickly pear cactus, matcha, Earl Grey, black sesame, chocolate, and fig. Picking your favorites is part of the fun.

Flavors like hallabong, carrot, and prickly pear cactus really bring Jeju to mind, so this felt like more of a genuine Jeju travel gift than an ordinary baked treat.

Harubangne gift set options and prices

Today Jeju also has several gift set options ready to go. If you want to try a bunch of flavors at once, the Harubangne 8-piece gift set is a good choice, and there's also a half-and-half set that lets you enjoy both the plain Harubangne and the chocolate-coated version.

There's a 4-piece set too, so it's easy to pick based on the recipient or your budget. As of my recent visit, the Harubangne 8-piece set was priced at ₩28,200, and the 8-piece half-and-half set at ₩29,800.

Besides Harubangne, there are other Jeju desserts like Harubang Sand, so you don't have to stick to just one option. The gift items are nicely displayed so it's easy to compare and choose, and since the packaging itself already captures the Jeju vibe, you don't need to worry much about extra wrapping.

How the Harubangne set went over as a coworker gift

On the last day of a Jeju trip, buying a bunch of things can mean more luggage to worry about, but edible souvenirs are great since they're easy to share with family, friends, or coworkers after the trip. Today Jeju in particular expresses Jeju's iconic dol hareubang as a dessert, which felt distinctly like a Jeju gift without being too predictable.

If you're near Jeju Airport looking for a Jeju gift or souvenir, Today Jeju Shilla Duty Free Shop Jeju Branch is worth stopping by. From Harubangne made with various Jeju ingredients to Harubang Sand and Jeju goods, you can browse it all in one place, which made it easy to pick out a gift on the last day of the trip. With pretty visuals and practical individual packaging, I'd recommend it if you're looking for a special edible souvenir to bring home from Jeju.

I bought this as a coworker gift, and it definitely had that unmistakable 'just got back from Jeju' feel, plus the variety of flavors made it a great one to bring into the office.
