Busan Western-style pork cutlet spot / Songjeong, Busan restaurant / handmade sauce simmered from scratch — Deli Donkatsu
Hi everyone, this is picky blogger 'Kkankkan Yeoni.' Since it was the weekend, I met up with a friend for some co-parenting time, and since my friend loves Western-style pork cutlets, we headed out with the kids to get some sea air and grab a bite.
Where is Deli Donkatsu in Songjeong, and is there parking?
Deli Donkatsu is a Western-style pork cutlet restaurant on the 1st floor at 146 Songjeong-jungang-ro 9beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan, near Songjeong Beach and the Dongbusan outlet mall. There's only room for about 1-2 cars in front of the restaurant, but there's no parking enforcement, so it's fine to park along the road nearby too.
The sign on the brick building gave off a classic Western-style-restaurant vibe, like an old-school neighborhood favorite.
Inside Deli Donkatsu: seating and atmosphere
Walking through the door at Deli Donkatsu, I found a calm, cozy atmosphere that felt like a real Western-style restaurant. The seats were spaced generously, so sitting with the kids never felt cramped or uncomfortable — it was a great place to chat comfortably while eating.
Besides regular tables, there was also bar-style seating along the wall, which looked like it would work well for solo diners too.
On the wall was a note with Deli Donkatsu's own tips for enjoying the food even more, which was fun to read while waiting.

Why Deli Donkatsu works for a meal with kids
Toward the back of the restaurant, the men's and women's restrooms were separate, and there was a sink for handwashing plus baby chairs for families with kids right outside the restrooms.
Near the entrance there was also a water dispenser and a coffee machine for use after the meal.

I liked that Deli Donkatsu's menu is simplified to just three types of pork cutlet and two side dishes. When a menu has too many items, I often wonder whether they can really manage all of them well — so a place focused on just one thing somehow earns my trust.

Dinner rolls, soup and the kids' tray setup
Right after ordering, out came the morning bread, strawberry jam, and soup that give this place its Western-style-restaurant feel.
Since we came with the kids, they set up trays and tableware for them too, and I was touched to see they even included soup and yogurt on the kids' trays — us two moms were seriously moved...
Seeing the separate soup on my kid's tray, I asked for extra pepper shaken into mine, which made it even tastier!
How the pork cutlet set for two and cheese Napolitan taste
Not long after the soup, the main dish — the Western-style pork cutlet set — arrived quickly. These days there are so many pork cutlet restaurants, and a lot of them use store-bought sauce.
I usually prefer Japanese-style pork cutlets, but maybe because of the handmade sauce simmered from scratch, the cutlet was crispy, and honestly, I want to say this is the best Western-style pork cutlet I've ever had!
The cheese spaghetti was visually overwhelming with all the cheese piled generously on top of the tomato-sauce spaghetti. As the butter melted in, the flavor deepened, and the saltiness of the cheese paired perfectly with the sweetness of the tomato sauce. Since it's a cheese-and-tomato combo kids naturally love, our kids ate it even more eagerly than the pork cutlet, haha.
And best of all, it stayed warm for a long time, which made it even more satisfying 👍
Free chicken salad from the kiosk review event
This is the chicken salad I got by applying for the review event listed on the kiosk when ordering.
Even as a review-event item, the portion was enough for two adult women to share, and with fresh lettuce and a sweet dressing, it paired well with the other dishes too. If you like salad, I'd recommend trying the review event and sharing one together.
We'd had a light snack before coming to eat because we were so hungry, but seeing my friend clean her plate made me feel proud 🤭
If you're out in Songjeong, Busan for a weekend outing with the kids and looking for a great Western-style pork cutlet spot, I highly recommend this one.
