Now that the hot weather has finally broken, it's the perfect season for outdoor patio dining haha🎶 I visited Uhwa Gopchang in Dunsan-dong, a spot where you can enjoy gopchang (grilled beef intestine) right outside💨

And on top of that, free tteokbokki‼️‼️ it's totally old-school style tteokbokki so I kept going back for more😋 all the banchan is refillable, so I was already getting full right here...🐷

And then a beef seaweed soup too‼️ so many things served for free before the gopchang even arrives — this is a certified local favorite in Dunsan-dong👍

I ordered the Uhwa assorted platter, one serving of beef gopchang, and flying fish roe fried rice. Prices were 23,000 / 21,000 / 5,000 won.

My gopchang platter and grilled gopchang came out pre-seared together🫶 even before it was fully cooked it already looked so appetizing🤤 the visuals alone confirm this is a Daejeon gopchang favorite👍

At this Daejeon gopchang spot, I didn't need to grill anything myself — the staff handled it all🔥

The inside of the gopchang was packed full of fat‼️ and since it's freshly butchered the same day, there was zero gamey smell — just straight-up nuttiness right away🔥

The usamgyeop and heart cooked quickly so I polished those off right away😋 the platter has such a solid mix that it's great for trying a bit of everything❣️

Eating all this gopchang, I couldn't hold back and ordered a draft beer🍺 that slushy, half-frozen draft beer is always the perfect match with gopchang💕

At Uhwa Gopchang, a Daejeon gopchang favorite, they bring out a separate dipping sauce too, so there was fun in dipping everything in it👏 and yes, I'm firmly on team dipping sauce‼️‼️‼️

The daechang grilled nice and crispy is exactly my style🫶 it was plump and tender too, so it disappeared in no time🥹🥹

They even top it with egg, so mixing it all together makes for seriously delicious fried rice❗️❗️ they recommended the fried rice as a must-order, and you really shouldn't leave without having it🤪

It's not a must-try recommendation for nothing😋 even though I was full, I kept eating this fried rice❗️ if you come to this Dunsan-dong gopchang favorite and eat gopchang, you absolutely must‼️‼️
