Tanbang-dong bakery café in Daejeon with lemon sorbet ade: Reelbakers
In short
Reelbakers is a bakery café in Tanbang-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, open daily from 08:00 to 22:00. Inside a space with floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor tables, the writer tried the Reel cream latte at 6,500 won, the lemon sorbet ade at 7,000 won and an egg tart at 2,800 won, and looked over the many kinds of salt bread. At Reelbakers the soft cream latte and the tangy lemon sorbet ade stood out most.

The exterior has floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor tables, so it looked like a great spot to enjoy coffee outside in the cool, breezy autumn weather!

Since there are outdoor tables, pets can join you there too, haha. Even from outside, you can tell it's a café with great atmosphere, right~?
What kinds of salt bread and pastries does Reelbakers bake?
As soon as you walk in the entrance, the bakery items are displayed right on the right side. You lay parchment paper on a tray and load it up with whatever you want!

This place is known for its salt bread! There were so many kinds — pollack roe mayo, olive pepper, and one made with L'Escure butter! Beyond that, there's also a huge range of bakery items like kouign-amann and croissants.

The chilled bakery items are so popular that by the time I got there, only the peach warreo wakppu was left, haha. If you want to try the sandwiches, I'd recommend visiting around early lunchtime~!
Inside Reelbakers: floor-to-ceiling windows, bar tables and sofa seats

Near the counter there are bar tables for one or two people. The lighting is soft and there are lots of cute interior details, so it's great for photos and just beautiful to look at! There are plants scattered around too, which made the cozy café atmosphere feel even more alive. Exactly the vibe of a great café right now!
Near the counter, they were also selling Reelbakers' own mugs and plates. They're mostly done in green, matching the store, with a clean and pretty design — I wanted one too, haha.

There are sunny tables close to the floor-to-ceiling windows, and further inside there are 4-person tables and sofa seats, so you can pick whichever spot feels comfortable~

I sat at a table for two. The lighting wasn't too dim or too bright, so it was easy on the eyes, haha.
How do the Reel cream latte, lemon sorbet ade and egg tart taste?

Reel cream latte (₩6,500) / Lemon sorbet ade (₩7,000) / Egg tart (₩2,800)
I picked the signature menu item, the Reel cream latte, and the refreshing lemon sorbet ade! For dessert I chose the egg tart.

After ordering, they give you a buzzer, and you bring it over once it goes off. Everything was plated so nicely that it put me in a good mood!

This is a latte topped with soft cream. It's their signature item, so I was curious and ordered it! The cream wasn't overly sweet, just smoothly sweet, and it went so well with the latte underneath! I'd recommend this one~

Couldn't skip something refreshing, haha, so I also ordered the lemon sorbet ade! It comes topped with lemon sorbet, which was so refreshing and delicious. There were even two lemon slices on top, doubling the freshness. It highlighted the lemon's own tartness more than sweetness, and with the sorbet on top it was just so good.

The tart looked so delicious fresh out of the oven that I ordered the egg tart for dessert. It was filled with soft cream inside, and the outside was crisp like pastry! I loved that I could also taste the vanilla.

If you order dessert bread, they can warm it up for you at the counter. There's also ice-cold water prepared separately!

They're also running a happy hour sale! Check the times and visit in the morning to get 10% off — it might be worth it. There's also an Americano takeout event going on, so if you're passing by and want a budget-friendly iced Americano, stop by!
I heard the bakery items use AOP-certified L'Escure butter! That's probably why the flavor was even better~ Highly recommend it to anyone who loves salt bread. Nothing beats how quickly you can feel happy just relaxing in a café with a great atmosphere! Next time I'm nearby, I'm planning to come back for another cream latte and that floor-to-ceiling window view, haha.
