Gangnam Korean BBQ rib set for two with a whiskey-bar vibe: Yuklab

Today I'm bringing you my review of Yuklab, located near Gangnam Station! 🥩💕 My friend and I did an escape room at Gangnam Station and then headed to Yuklab for dinner, where we had a delicious time eating beef and lamb haha. So let's get into my honest review of Yuklab~! 👏🏻

Yuklab Gangnam is located near Exit 11 of Gangnam Station, so accessibility was really great! ✨ My friend and I succeeded at the escape room and headed to Yuklab in good spirits haha. After working hard at the escape room we were starving, so we were even more excited to eat meat 💕

A Korean BBQ restaurant that feels like a whiskey bar

Yuklab Gangnam had a whiskey-bar-like atmosphere from the entrance onward. The mood was really great right from the door! It felt like a whiskey bar, which was a fun, unexpected touch 🥃💕

There was one restroom stall each for men and women! 🚻✨ Even the hallway leading to the restroom was decorated nicely, so it was fun to look around haha. It's a BBQ restaurant, but they clearly paid attention to the atmosphere everywhere ☺️💕

How far apart are the tables? Rooms and terrace at Yuklab Gangnam

Yuklab Gangnam has generous spacing between tables and separate rooms, making it good for both dates and group gatherings. The seats weren't crammed together — the spacing between tables felt private! ☺️💕 We visited with a friend today, but I thought it'd also be a great date spot haha. Plus there are separate rooms, so it also seemed good for group visits! With such a nice atmosphere, it seems versatile for dates, meetups, and company dinners alike ✨

Since we had a reservation, the side dishes were already neatly set out when we arrived haha 🥢✨ The terrace was also nicely decorated — the lighting and decorations gave it a real Christmas mood! 🎄💕

What comes in the 64,000-won rib set for two

We ordered Yuklab Gangnam's rib set for two, priced at ₩64,000. It comes with jin-galbisal (thick short rib meat), lamb chops, and yangnyeom-galbi (seasoned short rib), plus cheese and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew). There was a wide range of à la carte dishes as well as set menus, and we went with this set! 😋💕 It's a lineup that lets you try beef and lamb at once, so it's perfect for people like us who want to sample several kinds of meat haha

The meat we ordered finally arrived! 🥩✨ The staff recommended eating in the order jin-galbisal → lamb chops → yangnyeom-galbi, so we started grilling the jin-galbisal first haha 🔥

The jin-galbisal really melted in my mouth... 🥩💕 The meat was tender and full of juice, so it was so delicious haha. There was also a variety of sauces prepared, so it was fun dipping it in different ones! 😋 We also tried putting the cheese that came with the set on top of the meat, and it went really well together 🧀✨

Lamb chops with no gamey smell

Next we grilled the lamb chops! There was no gamey smell at all, and they were really delicious! 😋💕 They'd be easy to enjoy not just for people who already like lamb but also for those who usually avoid it because of the smell haha

Finishing with yangnyeom-galbi (marinated ribs)

Lastly, we grilled the yangnyeom-galbi! 🥩🔥 The sweet marinade was well soaked in, so it was delicious as expected haha 😋💕 After the jin-galbisal and lamb chops, finishing with the sweet yangnyeom-galbi was a nice way to wrap it up!
