Ocean-view café in Aewol, Jeju: avocado smoothie at Aewol Bon Cafe
In short
Aewol Bon Cafe (애월본카페) is a two-floor ocean-view café on the shoreline of Aewolhaean-ro in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, Jeju. Visiting late in the lunch hour, I took a window seat on the second floor and ordered an avocado smoothie and a ham and cheese sandwich — the smoothie was filling enough to stand in for a meal, and the sandwich came generously stuffed. If the view and a sense of openness matter most to you, take the second floor at Aewol Bon Cafe over the first.

A Jeju Aewol café dessert spot good for enjoying an ocean view and brunch together. Looking for somewhere to eat a late lunch by the sea in Aewol, Jeju, I ended up at Aewolbon Café.
What kind of café is Aewol Bon Cafe?
Aewolbon Café is a two-story oceanview café right on the coast near Aewol Harbor. Both the first and second floors have sea views, and there's private parking next to the building, which made it convenient to visit by car.

I visited during a slightly late lunch hour. It was quiet and calm overall, and there were more solo visitors than I expected. It felt like a comfortable place to have a drink or spend time alone. By the time I left, though, I saw group customers coming in, so the vibe probably changes depending on the time of day.
What do the exterior and interior of Aewol Bon Cafe feel like?
Aewolbon Café sits close to the sea, so the moment I arrived I felt that classic Jeju scenery. From outside, you get the coastal atmosphere plus the terrace and ocean as a backdrop, which looks great for photos on a nice day. The area around the café is fairly open, so it doesn't feel cramped at all — a good spot to pull over and rest during a drive.

What is the first floor of Aewol Bon Cafe like?
On the first floor of Aewolbon Café, if you sit near the floor-to-ceiling windows, it feels like the sea is right there in front of you.

It's calm and cozy overall, so it's good for quietly enjoying a coffee, and solo visitors can settle in naturally.

The cakes are also popular, with a solid variety, and there were scones that looked homemade too — haha!
Why is the second floor the better seat for the ocean view?
If you're choosing a seat at Aewolbon Café, go for the second floor first. It has a higher ceiling than the first floor, so the space feels much more open and airy, and the sea view through the windows looks even more expansive.

Personally, I liked the second floor more.

If ocean view matters most to you, I'd especially recommend picking the second floor first.

It was relatively quiet during my late lunch visit, but by the time I left, group customers were showing up too, so the atmosphere can vary by time of day.
Is Aewol Bon Cafe comfortable to visit alone?
Aewolbon Café didn't feel awkward to visit solo at all. It's calm and comfortable overall, making it a great place to rest during an Aewol drive.

The warm interior atmosphere blended well with the ocean view. It's fine to visit with a group too, but if you time your visit for a quieter hour, it's a Jeju Aewol café that works well as a solo café spot too.
How was the avocado smoothie at Aewol Bon Cafe?
The avocado smoothie at Aewolbon Café was really smooth and filling. The distinctively soft texture of avocado came through well in the smoothie, and it was surprisingly satisfying.

If you're looking for a drink that can substitute for a light meal, this might be worth picking.

It's nutty and smooth, and it paired especially well with the ham and cheese sandwich.
How was the ham and cheese sandwich?
The ham and cheese sandwich at Aewolbon Café wasn't flashy or bold — just a solid, basic flavor done right.

The ingredients felt fresh, and there was more filling than I expected, making it good for a late lunch.

Eaten together with the avocado smoothie, it wasn't too heavy or too light — it felt like a satisfying full meal. If you're after a Jeju Aewol café dessert that leans more toward a light meal than a sweet dessert, this combo is worth considering.
Can you bring a dog to Aewol Bon Cafe?
If you're looking for a dog-friendly café in Aewol, please check the official pet policy before visiting. Rules for indoor and outdoor spaces may differ, so it's best to confirm ahead of time.
