Hongdae café for whole peach soufflé at night: Think Fruit
In short
Think Fruit is a dessert café in Mapo, Seoul, serving seasonal-fruit soufflés and desserts. During peach season, I had a whole peach filled with cream alongside freshly baked soufflé pancakes, house-made whipped cream, and Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream. Verdict: a lovely pick when you want a fruit-filled dessert that feels special.

I don’t know why it has become so hard to just walk past a dessert with fruit in it these days. Especially if a place is generous with seasonal fruit—don’t you just have to go in at least once? Haha. This time, I visited Think Fruit, a Hongdae dessert café serving premium soufflés and desserts made with seasonal fruit.
The name is practically telling you to think about fruit, isn’t it? Haha. And the star of the day was... peach.

Finding Think Fruit in a nighttime alley
This is what it looked like when I first arrived. I visited at night, and only the inside of the shop was brightly lit in the dark alley, so it was easier to find than I expected.

A small think fruit sign hangs on the brick building. Rather than having the feel of a flashy, huge café, it felt like a dessert café tucked away in a Hongdae alley—and that actually made it stand out more.

You can see straight into the café through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Even from outside, the white tables and chairs caught my eye, giving the whole place a clean, bright feel.

Up close, the sign is very simple too, right? These days, a design that shows just the brand name somehow feels even more atmospheric.
The desserts change with the seasonal fruit

When I visited, it was peach season! Right by the entrance, it said, “Finally, Peach. Peach Soufflé Pancake.” Seeing something like that, my mind had already placed the order before I even stepped in. Think Fruit offers soufflés and desserts using delicious seasonal fruit, so it is fun that you can encounter a different kind of menu depending on when you visit.

There was also a photo of the fig soufflé beside it. Peaches are pretty, but figs too... If you love fruit, I think this is the sort of place that would make you want to visit once every time the season changes.

Ordering was easy to do in the café.

Looking at the menu, the main event was definitely SOUFFLE & PARFAIT. When I visited, there were peach and fig soufflés, and there was also quite a range of drinks, from coffee and lattes to smoothies and ades. The soufflés come with Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and house-made whipped cream. Honestly, isn’t that combination unfair just from the description alone? Haha.

There was real fruit displayed on one side of the café too. Seeing boxes of peaches made the claim that they use seasonal fruit feel a little more real.
A spacious, bright soufflé café in Hongdae

Here is the interior. What surprised me a little after going in was that it was quite a bit more spacious than it looked from outside.

Long rows of clear chairs sit by the windows with white tables arranged around them, creating a clean, airy atmosphere.

The tables are not packed tightly together either, so it looked like a nice place to have dessert and chat with friends.

The ceiling and walls keep their industrial feel, while the furniture uses white and clear materials, so it felt somehow hip and neat at the same time. I thought it would suit anyone looking for a café near Hongik University Station where they can have dessert and take some photos too.
A plate of soufflé topped with a whole peach

Then the menu I had been waiting for arrived! The first thing I said when I saw the plate was, “Oh? This is much more generous than I expected.” A large whole peach sat on top of the soufflé pancakes, with plenty of sliced peach arranged around them too. Plus ice cream and whipped cream. It really delivered visually.

In particular, this was not just one or two little soufflés. There were several fluffy pancakes on the plate, making it a satisfying portion even to share between two people. The soufflé is baked to order, so there is a bit of a wait, but food like this is best when it comes out freshly made.

Drinks were ready alongside the dessert too! Coffee or a cold drink definitely goes well with sweet soufflé and fruit.
The peach that was filled with cream
First, I cut into the peach. From the outside it looked exactly like a whole peach, but when I put in the knife, I found cream inside. That caught me off guard a little.
Ah, so they didn’t just put a peach on top!

The soft cream added a proper dessert feeling to the peach’s sweet, juicy flesh. It had that fragrant taste unique to seasonal peaches, so although it was a sweet dessert, the fruit made it feel relatively refreshing.

A bite of the sliced peach too. You can practically feel how juicy it is just looking at it, right? There was quite a lot of peach scattered across the plate, so it was nice to alternate a bite of soufflé with a bite of peach.
How to eat fluffy soufflé with fruit

Now it was time to properly try the Hongdae soufflé. When you cut into it, the inside is so pillowy and soft. Rather than the heavy, cake-like texture of ordinary pancakes, it was closer to something that gently melts away in your mouth.
You can see how softly it gives even with a light press from a fork, right? Scenes like this are why I always end up taking one more GIF when I eat soufflé. Haha.
Then I had a bite with plenty of whipped cream. Think Fruit’s soufflé comes with house-made whipped cream, and because the soufflé itself is so soft, the two went together really well.
Add peach on top too, and you have the perfect soufflé + whipped cream + peach combination! Personally, I liked eating it with fruit much more than eating the soufflé on its own.

If you love peaches, I think this part would be hard to pass up. 🍑 Eating the sweet flesh with a little cream really made it feel like I had come for a seasonal fruit dessert.
One bite with a piece of soufflé, peach, and whipped cream all together! This was the most delicious way to eat it, in my opinion.
When you are looking for a special dessert in Hongdae
There are so many cafés in Hongdae these days, but when you stop and think, “What is something worth trying only here?” it is not always easy to choose. Think Fruit’s seasonal fruit + soufflé concept is so clear that it stayed with me.
With fluffy soufflé baked right after ordering, fresh seasonal fruit, Häagen-Dazs ice cream, and house-made whipped cream all together, it felt like having a genuinely satisfying plate rather than a dessert that was only pretty. I am also curious what fruit will appear after peach season ends.
If you are looking for a Hongdae dessert café, craving a fluffy Hongdae soufflé, or want a dessert loaded with seasonal fruit instead of an ordinary cake, Think Fruit could be worth a stop. I am already oddly curious about what fruit soufflé will come next season.
