Sindang meat restaurant pork jowl and sow set: Beefjeong Gogi Jip
In short
Beefjeong Gogi Jip is a cut-by-cut meat restaurant near Cheonggu Station in Sindang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. On a Friday evening walk-in with no reservation, the writer ordered the Amdwaeji sow set (gabrisal, pork neck and pork belly, for 2–3 people), added pork jowl and more gabrisal, then finished with grandma's doenjang jjigae and garlic scape bibimbap. The standout cut at Beefjeong Gogi Jip was the pork jowl — springy but never tough.

I suddenly craved meat on a Friday evening and went searching — that's how I found this place. If you're hunting for a good meat restaurant near Sindang Station, Beefjeong is worth adding to your list. It's in Sindang-dong and happened to be nearby, so I just walked in without a reservation.
The banner by the entrance was pretty fun — it said something like "Beefjeong, viewer of Culinary Class Wars 2," with a confident line claiming they'd invested tens of millions of won into studying meat alone, haha 😄 Inside, the menu had everything from single-cut orders to set menus, and even the side dishes had names that made me curious.
By the way, apparently this place is also known for its meat cake, but it seemed to be a reservation-only item, so I didn't get to try it this time. Maybe next time I'll book ahead.

First impressions and the table setting at Beefjeong Gogi Jip

Once I sat down, the grill was already set up perfectly for cooking, which I liked.

The side dishes filled the whole table, including Taebaek highland cabbage kimchi from Gangwon-do — there was quite a variety. Even before the meat arrived, I was already excited 🙂
What comes in the Amdwaeji sow set: gabrisal, pork neck, pork belly

We ordered the Beefjeong Amdwaeji Set (for 2–3 people). It came with gabrisal, pork belly, pork neck, and grandma's doenjang jjigae. I heard a lot of people search for "Sindang-dong pork belly restaurant" to find this place, and once I was there, I understood why.

We grilled it in the order of gabrisal, pork neck, then pork belly.
- Gabrisal: chewy texture that's really appealing
- Pork neck: clean flavor, easy to eat without feeling heavy
- Pork belly: savory flavor that really comes through
The portion wasn't small, but the plates emptied in no time 😋
Extra pork jowl and gabrisal: the highlight of Beefjeong Gogi Jip

Even after finishing everything, I still wanted more, so I ordered extra jowl meat and gabrisal.

The chewy texture of the jowl meat in particular was really impressive. It wasn't tough at all, just pleasantly soft — personally, this was the one cut I'd definitely order again here.

A cold beer alongside the meat made for a perfect combination 🍺
Grandma's doenjang jjigae and garlic scape bibimbap

The grandma's doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) that came with the set was loaded with seafood like crab and shrimp, making it quite hearty, and the doenjang itself had that rustic, country-style flavor that paired really well with the meat. If you're looking for a good doenjang jjigae spot in Sindang, I'd recommend putting this one on your list too.

The doenjang jjigae was so good I couldn't not order rice, so we got the garlic scape bibimbap too. The garlic scapes and the slightly spicy seasoning went well with both the meat and the stew.
Next time at Beefjeong Gogi Jip: the Hanwoo set and side dishes

This place made me just as curious about the Korean beef menu as the pork. If you want to try Hanwoo (Korean beef) near Sindang Station, Beefjeong's Hanwoo Set is worth watching for. Beefjeong runs a separate Hanwoo set menu, sourced from three good cuts hand-selected that day at Majang-dong, which felt trustworthy to order.
There were also plenty of other intriguing side menu items — green onion kimchi with jjagyechi, kimchi-mari noodles, sundubu yeolla ramyeon, old-school lunchbox, and more — but I was too full to order any more, which I regret. They also have a wide range of drinks including takju, cheongju, and soju, so it seems like a great spot for a group dinner too.

Looking at the origin label, beef (Hanwoo), pork (Handon), and rice were all marked as domestic, and reservations are available through the Tabling app.
Verdict: is Beefjeong Gogi Jip in Sindang-dong worth a return visit?
This was a Sindang-dong meat restaurant with plenty of fun in picking different cuts. Gabrisal, pork neck, and pork belly were all solidly good, and the jowl meat especially was impressive enough that I'd want to order it separately again. Grandma's doenjang jjigae and the garlic scape bibimbap rounded things off nicely. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meat restaurant in Sindang, and to anyone hunting for a real hidden gem in the area.
A Sindang-dong meat restaurant that started with gabrisal and won me over with jowl meat — next time I want to book ahead for the Hanwoo set and the meat cake at Beefjeong.
