Today I visited Wine Joomak Chacha (와인주막차차), a well-known wine spot in Yeouido! At lunchtime they sell Korean-style lunch menus, so it's apparently famous as an office workers' favorite haha.

Wine Joomak Chacha is a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Yeouido Station!
If you look to the side of the Estrenue building, there's an escalator there
Take this escalator up to the 2nd floor
Then just walk straight down this hallway that looks like this!

Is there a lunch wait, and what is the room like?
Wine Joomak Chacha is a corkage-free wine bar, so apparently you can freely bring your own favorite wine and enjoy it❤️ At other places you have to pay tens of thousands of won for corkage, so being able to bring it in for free here was amazing haha. It seemed like it could work well as a Yeouido day-drinking spot or lunch team dinner venue too! (Junior colleagues in my department, take note,,, ㅠ)
The inside is nice and spacious, and it was packed during lunch hour! We arrived around 11:40 and there were 8 parties waiting, and we got in after waiting about 15 minutes haha. Lunch break often starts at 11 for the securities firms in Yeouido, so if you go after 11:30 the wait seems to clear pretty quickly👍

Seeing the Yeouido buildings through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the back has some nice atmosphere too, doesn't it, hehe
There's a wine bottle display right in the center of the shop like this. Apparently they give you a free glass of wine at lunchtime, wow. They sell a lot of lunch menus, so everyone should sneak in a glass of day wine without the office knowing!

The jeyuk ssambap lunch set arrived. Most of the office workers around us seemed to be eating this at lunch haha.

Ahh,,,,, the pork wasn't too fatty and was nice and thick, so it was so tasty ㅠㅠ The seasoning had just the right sweet-savory balance, total rice thief! There was a fried egg on top of the rice, so the rice-pork-fried egg combo was so good❤️
Truffle cheese Chapagetti with chadol beef, 13,000 won
This was my favorite dish❤️❤️ It was so good I kept letting out exclamations while eating ㅠㅠ It was loaded with chadol (thin-sliced beef brisket) and had a strong truffle aroma coming through, so harmonious💞 First of all I loved how generous the amount of chadol was haha
The portion is really generous, right?
I sat at the 2-seater bar table by the window and the Yeouido view was pretty haha
Tofu kimchi with aged kimchi, 22,000 won
Lastly, the aged kimchi tofu wrap came out! The aged kimchi (mukeunji) was fermented just right, so tasty haha. It was tangy with a mild savory depth, perfect as a drinking snack haha.
Verdict: Yeouido lunch with a daytime glass of wine

- From jeyuk ssambap to truffle jjapaguri, the lunch menu quality was better than expected
- The truffle cheese jjapaguri especially is loaded with chadol beef and has a strong truffle aroma, highly recommend❤️
- Free glass of wine at lunch plus corkage-free, so recommendable as a Yeouido day-drinking or team dinner spot!
Overall the atmosphere was pretty and the food was delicious, so it was a great place to enjoy lunch and a glass of wine all in one go haha. Especially recommended for Yeouido office workers🥰 If two of you visit for lunch, I recommend getting 1-2 lunch menu items plus definitely adding the truffle cheese jjapaguri (so good..)❤️
