Grilled cod roe and Boksoondoga makgeolli at Sindorim bar Mugeunji
In short
Korean Suljip Mugeunji is a Korean bar three minutes' walk from Sindorim Station in Guro, Seoul, with outdoor seating (yajang) and grilled salted cod roe (myeongnan-gui) for 12,000 won. Tables were full on a weekday evening so the writer sat at the bar, but the atmosphere and the quick, friendly service more than made up for it. When the weather is right for drinking outside and grilled cod roe is on your mind, Mugeunji is worth the trip.

Why outdoor seating near Sindorim Station leads to Korean Suljip Mugeunji
I found a seriously delicious bar near Sindorim Station hahahahahaha. Every time I passed by I wondered why it was always so crowded — turns out the taste and atmosphere fully explain it. Great news for anyone looking for an izakaya near Sindorim Station too.
If the weather's perfect for outdoor seating (yajang) and you're looking for a spot near Sindorim Station, Mugeunji is the place. Why? Because they serve grilled cod roe (myeongnan-gui). They pile on a generous amount of cucumber inside the grilled cod roe too, and as a cucumber lover, I ate happily.
One thing worth noting — Korean Suljip Mugeunji is a one-of-a-kind spot only found at Sindorim, not a chain or franchise!
For this Chuseok holiday, they're only closed on September 25, the day of Chuseok itself. Otherwise, you can still drink through the rest of the holiday.
Since you've got to power through the Chuseok holiday, maybe try laying off drinking starting today — save up your drinking stamina! The 2026 Chuseok red-letter days are Thursday September 24, Friday September 25, and Saturday September 26. Scouting out a day-drinking spot in advance for those days is the kind of planning-obsessed move worth trying this time around.
Korean Suljip Mugeunji, Sindorim

Ordering the buttery grilled cod roe and drinks at Mugeunji
So the important part — the price of grilled cod roe? ₩12,000. It's made from cod roe aged at low temperature. The standout point is how strongly it smells of butter — it felt like a butter cod roe dish. Korean Suljip Mugeunji is only a 3-minute walk from Sindorim Station, so it's easy to get to as well.

Boksoondoga hand-crafted makgeolli, ₩23,000. You can get 4 pieces of fried ice cream through the photo review event. Fried ice cream is ₩8,000. Definitely make good use of the review event, either on the Naver Place coupon section or through the actual tablet ordering system.

We also ordered 2 more beers and 1 soju. Beer and soju are both a flat ₩5,000, which is nothing short of amazing for soju-and-beer lovers~ If you need drinks, food, and somewhere to lean on, Korean Suljip Mugeunji at Sindorim's got you. The staff are friendly and quick too.
The indoor bathroom has one unisex stall. There's a urinal and a toilet, two total! Hand wash and paper towels are provided so you can use it cleanly.

What the bar seats are like when Mugeunji is full
Even the entrance has good atmosphere, and if the tables inside are all full, there are bar seats near the entrance too. If a couple who's just starting to date sits side by side at the bar seats drinking? That's basically their first day dating ^^

Oh my, this kind of vibe?

That day, even though it was a weekday evening, the tables were completely full when we arrived, so we sat at the bar seats to drink.

Free side dishes and Boksoondoga hand-crafted makgeolli, 23,000 won
The basic side dishes are pickled onions and edamame. The edamame had whole peppercorns sprinkled on top, which really brought out the flavor. Shelling them does get your hands sticky, but here's the move: shell them all right before heading to the bathroom, wash your hands, then come back and eat! I want more edamame already! I really love Japanese edamame. Great with beer, great with makgeolli too. It's also famously a favorite snack of Shinchan's dad.

Boksoondoga hand-crafted makgeolli is hard to open. If it's your first time, ask a Korean Suljip Mugeunji staff member to open it for you. This was my third time opening it solo, so I managed it smoothly, but if you just twist it open carelessly, it'll launch like a rocket and cover the floor of Mugeunji in makgeolli.

I want more Boksoondoga already..

Such delicious makgeolli! Maybe because I'd eaten a full meal beforehand, I wasn't eating much of the side dishes but the makgeolli just wasn't going down easily that day, for some reason.

A night getting drunk on the atmosphere and the taste both.

Mugeunji's parking, smoking, pet and corkage rules
There's parking near Posville by Sindorim Station, so park there — there's no dedicated lot at the bar itself, but smoking is convenient right in front of the shop.
For reference, pets are welcome, and they've set up window-side outdoor seating so you can enjoy yajang with your pet. Corkage is available too, at ₩30,000 per bottle for whiskey, sake, or wine (750ml). They say they have various ceramic cups and glasses ready for that.
Sindorim Posville Parking Lot is the closest one to the shop, and no parking discount voucher is provided, so try your best not to drive here..
