I visited Yeosueseo Onnajin Gukbap BIFC branch, a restaurant near the Busan International Finance Center in Munhyeon-dong. It's a famous old-school Yeosu restaurant that has been featured multiple times on shows like Baekban Fanchang, Sung Si-kyung's What to Eat, and Battle Trip ☺️

I ordered gukbap, white gukbap, and tasting suyuk.

The basic side dishes and water came out.
Each table has spoons, tissues, wet wipes, paper cups, and pepper laid out.

Being a famous Yeosu restaurant, quite a few celebrities have visited too.

They boil and simmer everything fresh each day in a cauldron at the store, so you get the same taste as the original Yeosu location, and the suyuk is made from boiled pork cheek, which is thick yet tender, they say.

I also read the tips for eating gukbap. New menu items like soft tofu gukbap and bean sprout gukbap are also available.
Gukbap, 10,000 won — spicy bean sprout broth
The dishes I ordered came out.
This is the gukbap (pork and rice soup). The red broth is full of bean sprouts and meat, topped with perilla seeds and cheongyang chili. You can also ask to leave out the perilla seeds and chili as an option when ordering.

I tried the broth first. The bean sprouts had steeped into a spicy, refreshing broth, and it was really delicious with the nutty perilla seeds.

There's plenty of meat in the gukbap too, and it was soft without any gamey smell. It tastes even better with chive salad and kimchi on the side.

White gukbap, 10,000 won — the mild bowl for kids
This is the white gukbap.
It's full of bean sprouts, meat, and sundae (Korean blood sausage). It seemed good for people who can't eat spicy food or for young children.
You can add pepper or dadaegi (chili paste) to season it to your taste.
They gave us dadaegi, salted shrimp, and cheongyang chili, but the base seasoning was already well balanced so I didn't add any extra.

Tasting suyuk, 13,000 won — boiled pork cheek
This is the tasting suyuk. It's made from boiled pork cheek, tender enough to melt in your mouth.

The suyuk meat was really delicious — ordering it was a good call.

The suyuk is tasty dipped in the chojang (vinegar chili sauce) that comes with it, or eaten with chive salad or kimchi.

The chewy sundae in the white gukbap is also delicious dipped in chojang.

Self-service bar and aprons at Najin Gukbap
You can grab water, extra side dishes, and small plates from the self-service bar,
and aprons are available for use too.

I visited Yeosueseo Onnajin Gukbap, a restaurant near the Busan International Finance Center in Munhyeon-dong, and had a satisfying meal thanks to the spicy, savory broth and tender meat. If you're looking for a restaurant near BIFC, I'd recommend Yeosueseo Onnajin Gukbap BIFC branch.
