What kind of bakery café is Bakerist Brown?
Bakerist Brown is a rare 3-floor bakery near Sinnonhyeon Station. It's a standalone building with a red-brick feel, and each floor has its own mood — the 1st floor has a vintage open display, the 2nd floor is white-toned with natural light pouring in, and the 3rd floor has big tables perfect for groups. If you're looking for a spacious café right in the middle of Gangnam, this is it!
This is one of my favorite bakeries near Sinnonhyeon and a big terrace café — Bakerist Brown. With Seoul Sand and so many other delicious breads, it's a perfect meeting spot for bread lovers, and on nice days the terrace looks pretty and the standalone building gives you room to chat freely. It's also a great place to have a quiet brunch and catch up on a sunny autumn day, away from the crowds of Gangnam Station.
The signatures are kouign-amann and salt cream coffee, plus egg tart and puddings! The recently launched Seoul Sand is the perfect gift item.

Bakerist Brown occupies a standalone building on Gangnam-daero 102-gil in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, using floors from the basement up to the 3rd floor. From Exit 6 of Sinnonhyeon Station, walk straight down the CGV alley and you'll find the standalone building with a big tree, on your right. It's open every day from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and for parking you can use the Gangnam Station public parking lot.
What bread can you find at Bakerist Brown in Sinnonhyeon?
I'd always gone in the morning before, but going late in the afternoon this time, I saw just how popular the place is — a lot of the most popular items were already sold out. The conch-shaped cream pastry is so cute every time it immediately catches my eye haha. There are also plenty of madeleines by type — crème brûlée madeleine, lemon, matcha, chocolate, all delicious.
Pumpkin pie at 7,000 won
The pumpkin pie is 7,000 won. It pairs perfectly with coffee, and if you're not a fan of sweet things, pumpkin pie is a nice alternative to cake.
Mickey Mouse-shaped bread, egg tart, mille-feuille — name it, this is a bakery café, so they've got it all!

Bakerist Brown's chilled corner changes fruit with the season. I had a really delicious strawberry kouign-amann in winter, and right now it's fig season :)

Black sesame coffee and fig croissant: the late-afternoon order
Bakerist Brown's signature is, without a doubt, the salt cream coffee! But since I always order the salt coffee, this time I ordered the black sesame coffee instead — it's sweet and slightly bitter, with a full-bodied feel.
It's also fun trying a bit of each Seoul Sand flavor. Since I love chocolate, Rich Ganache and London Fog were my picks.
Since it's fig season, I couldn't resist ordering a fig croissant too — cream + fig + crispy croissant, is that not just love?!! There's so much fig packed in, it's sweet but also feels like a full dose of vitamins.
Is Bakerist Brown worth a stop in Gangnam?
Today I introduced Bakerist Brown, a great place to enjoy bread and coffee at a relaxed pace near Sinnonhyeon Station. From pastries made with French butter to fig kouign-amann and a huge variety of breads, plus a spacious 3-floor layout and a terrace that's lovely on nice days — if you're looking for a big café near Gangnam Station, I recommend this one.
