Sinnonhyeon café with group tables for studying as a couple: Selecto

My boyfriend and I had some studying to do, so we went to Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch near Sinnonhyeon Station! This was already my third visit here!! There are tons of cafés around Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon, but it's surprisingly hard to find one that's actually good for spreading out a laptop and getting work done. This place is open 24 hours, has a wide variety of seating types, and offers everything from solo study seats to group tables — honestly I want to recommend it as a great café for studying near Sinnonhyeon Station!!

Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon, and what does it look like?

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch is at 31 Gangnam-daero 79-gil, 1st floor, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It's about 200m from Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's close enough to walk to right after getting off the subway!

The biggest advantage is definitely being open 24 hours. After the staffed hours end, it apparently switches over to an unmanned self-service format and keeps running. On days when you need to study or work on your laptop late into the night, it's a real perk not having to pack up and move somewhere else because of closing time.

Seats for two studying together, plus the 24-hour print zone

Looking around the store, it wasn't just solo seats — there were also group tables good for multiple people. So it seemed like a good spot not just for solo café studying, but also for studying with a friend or having a quick study session or meeting.

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon also has a 24-hour unmanned print zone where you can print, copy, and scan. Sometimes you're working on an assignment or a task and suddenly need to print something out, and being able to just handle it right there in the café felt like exactly what a work-friendly café should offer. It wasn't so quiet that you'd feel awkward talking, like a reading room, but it still had that vibe where everyone can spread out their laptop or books and focus on their own thing, haha.

Selecto Coffee menu: salads and sandwiches

When you're at a café for a long study session, just drinking coffee only gets you so far before you get hungry, haha. Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon had not only bakery items but also a good variety of salads and sandwiches. The salads included direct-grilled bulgogi, chicken, ricotta cheese, and smoked duck, while the sandwiches came in options like sweet pumpkin egg, chicken, ricotta cheese, and smoked salmon — quite a lot of choices. With the sandwiches and salads sitting ready in the refrigerated case, it seemed like a good option for a quick meal when you get hungry mid-study.

I thought they might be sold out since the case looked empty, but they make it fresh for you as soon as you order it ><

What we ordered: Mocha and Geisha americanos with a smoked salmon sandwich

The americano wasn't just one type of bean — you could choose based on your taste. They had everything from Mocha Blend to Blue Mountain Blend, a bright Ethiopia Blend, Geisha Blend, and even decaf. We ordered a Mocha Blend americano and a Geisha Blend americano to try each. Even though they're both americanos, the aroma and flavor were noticeably different depending on the beans, so my boyfriend and I had fun comparing them, haha. Came to study, ended up comparing our coffee preferences too ☕️

The smoked salmon sandwich was so good it made me wonder if this place is secretly a sandwich specialist! It's great for a lunch fix and so tasty that I want to eat it again. We kept talking about it even after leaving the café!!

I went looking for a place to study with my boyfriend, and it ended up being a perfect fit for that purpose. With 24-hour operation, a spacious store, solo study seats, group tables, and a print zone all in one place, it's a great spot to visit for studying or laptop work!

It's also close to Sinnonhyeon Station, so accessibility is good, and having simple menu options like sandwiches and salads made it comfortable to stay for a long work session.
