An early-opening Gwangalli brunch spot!
Today I went to see an early morning movie with a close friend and wanted a fresh meal afterward, so we came to Famous Benny, an early-opening Gwangalli brunch café ☺️ The vibe was perfect for a relaxed brunch and the plating was so pretty it was totally my taste — let me share my review of Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch!

What the Famous Benny building looks like from outside
The exterior itself is so hip..! It gave off such an Instagram-worthy feel that I found myself grabbing my camera 📸
Honestly, we came straight from watching the trendy movie Odyssey at 7:30am, so I thought we'd be the first customers.
But there were already people dining solo and working on laptops! Truly diligent Koreans even this early in the morning 𖤐 I guess that's how it earns its status as a Gwangalli Blue Ribbon restaurant!?
Inside Famous Benny: 1st and 2nd floor window seats
Let me show you the inside of Famous Benny, this Gwangalli brunch spot, first! The overall wood-toned interior gave it a cozy, warm atmosphere. Especially since every table has outlets, it would be perfect for working on a laptop.
Going up to the second floor, it felt even more spacious and open compared to the first floor.
I claimed this spot..🩷 Brunch while enjoying the view out the window — just sitting there felt healing.
There were blankets available too, and honestly they were prettier than the towels at my house..🤣
A nice touch: baby chairs on both the 1st and 2nd floors 👍 Great for coming with kids too.

This time we picked The Famous Benny (₩18,000), French Toast (₩17,000), and Egg in Hell (₩15,000).
We ordered on the 1st floor and headed up to the 2nd floor. They didn't give us a buzzer — instead they brought the food up to us directly, which felt even more convenient 👍
By the way, isn't the plating just gorgeous..? I posted it on Instagram and everyone asked where it was haha
Egg in Hell (shakshuka) and its tomato sauce
If you come to Famous Benny, this Gwangalli brunch café, you have to try the Egg in Hell (shakshuka) 🥹 The tomato sauce was seriously so good I wanted to bring some home just to eat on its own.
A perfectly crisp-toasted bread topped with a soft, moist poached egg — yum..🤩
French toast at Famous Benny
Next up, the visually stunning French toast 👏 Topped with edible flowers, it was a dish you fall for twice — once with your eyes, once with your mouth. The bread was so moist...!!
It was sweet and delicious even on its own, but once drizzled with maple syrup, it just melted in the mouth 🫠❤️
The Famous Benny signature with sabayon sauce
Last up: the signature dish of this Gwangalli restaurant, 'The Famous Benny.' Croissant + poached egg + avocado + salmon ✨ A plate piled generously with ingredients — I could see exactly why it's the signature dish.
The real kicker was the soft, nutty sabayon sauce you'd normally only find at fine-dining restaurants. You could taste hints of cheese too, giving it such rich depth of flavor that it was a charming brunch that kept me eating without ever getting tired of it 😻
Is Famous Benny the right early morning Gwangalli brunch?
Surprisingly, it's hard to find a brunch café that opens early in Minnak-dong, Gwangalli, Busan, so finding this gem opening at 8am felt special 😍 From the space to the plating, everything about Famous Benny was special — highly recommend!
