Sofa seats on the first floor of Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town
Minimale Coffee Roaster, located in Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town! The exterior is really clean and pleasant, and it's right on the first floor, so it's easy to find.
Opening the door revealed a wide-open, comfortable interior — the high ceilings made it feel super airy! The sleek black tables and chairs were clean-looking. A lot of places have tables that are too low or chairs too stiff to sit in for long, but here the tables were wide and the chairs comfortable, so it was perfect for relaxing. There were also sofa seats by the window, which was great for bringing along my lively two-year-old haha. The baby sat so comfortably on the sofa.

What bakery items does Minimale Coffee Roaster have?
Right in the middle of Minimale Coffee Roaster Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town Branch was the bakery section, and since it only had the core items, it felt even more trustworthy.
- Babka, the signature item with exotic appeal
- Salt bread, the textbook definition of crispy outside, chewy inside
- Thick, mouthwatering cookies
- Sweet, soft egg tarts
- Nutty, crispy scones
Everything just looked like really well-made bread! And best of all, the prices were reasonable.

Choosing your coffee beans and the drink menu
I'd heard the coffee here was genuinely delicious before visiting, and I went in with high expectations — and true to being a specialty shop, you can pick from fresh, varied specialty beans roasted in-house to suit your taste, whether you like acidity or a heavier, nutty flavor. There was a wide range of menu items from signature lattes to Americano. You could also choose from regular, large, or venti sizes.

Helsinki latte, Americano, cream salt bread and original babka
We ordered the signature Helsinki latte, an Americano, cream salt bread, and original babka. Even with this order, it came out to just under ₩20,000, so I thought it was really good value.

Original babka (chocolate-swirl bread)
The original babka was a sweet bread with rich Nutella chocolate meeting crispy almonds. Between the layers of chewy bread that pulled apart along the grain, generous amounts of thick, gooey Nutella were packed in, and the almonds sprinkled on top added a nutty finish — really delicious.
Cream salt bread
The crisp outside and chewy inside gave the signature rich buttery flavor of salt bread, and the cold, sweet cream made for the ultimate sweet-and-salty combo. The cream wasn't overly sweet, more of a sophisticated sweetness, so I could eat it all the way through without getting tired of it.

Signature Helsinki latte
The coffee here is genuinely!!! delicious. Especially this Helsinki latte — I chose the nutty beans, and the sweet, heavy milk paired so well with the nutty beans that the flavor was outstanding. If you visit Minimale Coffee Roaster Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town Branch, definitely try the signature latte! They say it's a recreation, with Minimale's own recipe, of a life-changing latte the founder encountered while traveling in Helsinki, Finland.
