Family photo shoot with two kids in Aewol, Jeju: Eoeum-ri Studio
In short
Eoeum-ri Photo Studio is a family snap photo studio in Eoeum-ri, Aewol, on Jeju Island. The family booked the hackberry tree snap through Naver Reservation, shooting outdoors against stone walls and grass with their two kids, then drove about 5 minutes to the studio for prop photos. Rain came and went all day but paused during the shoots, so all four family members came home with photos in two different moods in one session.

Why this family chose Eoeum-ri Photo Studio in Aewol, Jeju
One thing I was secretly most looking forward to on this Jeju trip was getting a family photo taken! When you travel with kids you end up taking a ton of pictures, but somehow there are surprisingly few where all four of us are actually in the frame together.
So this time I really wanted to properly capture our time in Jeju, and we went to Eoeum-ri Photo Studio in Aewol. The building had stone walls and such a Jeju-ish vibe that the moment we arrived I was already excited about what kind of photos we'd get 🤩

How do you book Eoeum-ri Photo Studio?
We booked Eoeum-ri Photo Studio in advance through Naver Reservation. There are several shoot types to choose from, so you pick the one you want, then set a date and time to book. We chose the hackberry tree snap, which lets you take family photos outdoors 📸
Prices vary depending on the shoot type and package, so it's best to check the details on the Naver Reservation page. Also, note that the booking is only finalized after you make a deposit, to prevent no-shows. It's a precious slot, so no no-shows allowed, haha 🙅🏻♀️

The hackberry tree outdoor snap on an on-and-off rainy day
The shoot we chose was the hackberry tree snap! That day the rain kept starting and stopping, so the weather was pretty unpredictable. Weirdly enough, it stopped right when we were shooting, then started again the moment we finished, haha.
Still, I was so relieved it didn't rain while we were shooting ㅠㅠ. With the huge hackberry tree, the stone walls, and the green grass all together, it really felt like Jeju 🌳

A 5-minute drive to the studio, with plenty of props
After finishing the outdoor shoot, we moved on to the studio. It's only about 5 minutes away by car, so the move was quick! The studio had various props ready to use for the shoot.
If the outdoors captured that Jeju atmosphere, the studio let us shoot in a totally different mood using the props. It was great being able to get two different vibes in one session haha.

Why the studio mirror and hair dryer helped
There was a mirror and hair dryer set up on one side, so we could quickly fix our hair or makeup before shooting. We were so busy chasing after the kids that being able to tidy up once before going in was surprisingly useful haha.

Natural family shots along the stone-wall path
Jeju's weather kept flip-flopping between cloudy and clear, but somehow the sky turned pretty again right when we were taking photos. We just stood for a moment on the stone-wall path, but with that distinct Jeju atmosphere added in, the photos turned out really well. Personally, I think I liked these natural, candid-feeling shots the most.

What was the studio shoot like with two kids?
Then the studio shoot began! The photographer also took individual shots of each kid, and using the props on hand gave a totally different feel. Jiwoo had the time of her life on the rocking chair haha, and Geonwoo just sat on a bike but somehow struck quite the pose. Neither of them would stay still, but I think that's exactly what made the photos feel so much like our kids.

While the photographer was sorting through the shots, she told us we could freely take photos around the studio ourselves, and even adjusted the camera settings for us before stepping out. That kind of thoughtfulness is just the best... photographer, you're amazing 💗 Fired up, we started chasing the kids around every which way for photos! Before we knew it we were breaking a sweat trying so hard haha. We got a last shot of the two of them together too, and left having really made the most of it.

Was the Jeju family photo shoot worth it?
And that's a wrap on our family's Jeju photo shoot! They say what stays with you from a trip is the photos, but this time it meant even more because instead of the usual pictures we take of ourselves, we got to properly capture all four of us together. When the kids are a bit older and we pull these out again, I think this Jeju trip will come right back to us along with them 💗
