This time, I'm starting a review of Barabon Glasses, an eyewear shop in Gijang, Ilgwang, that I really liked for the friendly consultation, reasonable prices, and lenses that made his eyes so much more comfortable!

You can park in front of the store during the non-enforcement hours of 11:30–14:00, and if you use the KS Parking Building, they'll cover your parking fee.

Barabon Glasses Ilgwang New City Branch has an overall clean, sleek, white-toned atmosphere. Glasses and sunglasses were displayed on the left side, and Lenzme contact lenses were displayed on the right.

Glasses and sunglasses do protect your eyesight, but these days they're used a lot as fashion items too, so I saw plenty of brands and designs that caught my interest.

NINE ACCORD. A popular bestseller brand that nails both value for money and design — apparently it's one of the most recognized and popular domestic house brands out there!

As an ARMY, of course BTS's Jin catches my eye first haha. You can get popular frames at reasonable prices too! Since my husband shops for glasses a lot, he's learned that you really have to try frames on yourself to know if they suit you. Being able to try the actual frames on, plus the reasonable prices, seem like big advantages here.

IRONIC ICONIC. A practical eyewear brand specializing in light, comfortable wear. The designs aren't flashy and add a subtle touch of style, so it's a brand I'd recommend to anyone looking for comfortable glasses.

Rimrock. A sleek, sophisticated house brand built on titanium, apparently gaining word-of-mouth buzz lately among people looking for clean metal frames!

There were lots of sleek designs, from round, cute shapes to ones that suit trendy vibes or the currently popular geek-chic style. And of course, as an ARMY I couldn't resist sneaking in some BTS try-on shots haha.

I used to think sunglasses were only for really sunny days, but these days I wear them comfortably for eye protection too. There are plenty of other brands beyond what I've introduced here, so visit in person and check them out!

Are there glasses for children?

Barabon Glasses Ilgwang New City Branch also has glasses for infants and children! They carry Tomato Glasses, made for kids whose noses and ears aren't fully developed yet, so regular glasses keep sliding down.

At Barabon Glasses Ilgwang New City Branch, we chose double-aspheric glasses lenses to match a pair of thin frames, and the optician handled everything from the eye exam to the compression level. Regular lenses can be made same-day, but the double-aspheric lenses took 1 day to produce.

My husband getting his eyes checked! Unfortunately, his eyesight had gotten slightly worse than his last checkup ㅠㅠ Such is the reality of modern life staring at computers and phones all day... The staff handled it kindly and comfortably.

Since his existing frames were such a thin design, we went with double-aspheric lenses. Normally, the worse your eyesight, the more the edges of the lens look distorted or thick, but double-aspheric lenses are made as thin and flat as possible, which reduces that effect!

The professional optician nailed everything from the vision check to the compression level, and once he put them on, he was extremely satisfied! Just a heads-up: regular lenses can be ready same-day, but double-aspheric lenses take 1 day to make.
