Cheongna pork belly restaurant with cheese fried rice: Sammi-jip
In short
Sammi-jip is a pot-lid pork belly restaurant on the Cheongna 4-danji restaurant alley in Seohae, Incheon. Two servings of kimchi pork belly at 17,000 won came pre-grilled and wrapped in lettuce, alongside kimchi bibim noodles (spicy cold mixed noodles) and fried rice with cheese, with extra banchan free to refill at the self-service corner. Plain rice was sold out, but the kimchi bibim noodles paired so well with the pork that Sammi-jip is worth ordering the same way again.

I'm the type who'll track down a good restaurant wherever it is‼️ I really love meat, so whenever I want a hearty meal I go looking for a meat restaurant~~ Today I'd heard there was a clean, nice pork belly place in Cheongna, so I went in with high expectations hahaha. Here's my review~

Where is Sammi-jip, and is there parking on the Cheongna 4-danji restaurant alley?
Sammi-jip is located on the Cheongna 4-danji restaurant alley~~ You can park right in front of the restaurant, and apparently valet is available too hahaha. When I visited there was exactly one parking spot left. In the evening the tables seemed to fill up completely. I'd recommend booking ahead hahaha.

What we ordered at Sammi-jip and what it cost
My friend and I debated what to get and ended up ordering kimchi pork belly at ₩17,000 ×2 servings, kimchi bibim noodles (spicy mixed noodles) at ₩8,000, a zero-sugar cola at ₩2,000, fried rice at ₩5,000, and a cheese add-on for ₩3,000~

Inside Sammi-jip: seating and atmosphere
Sammi-jip has generous space between tables and comfortable seating, so I thought it'd be great for a family meal, a get-together, or a work dinner hahaha. The interior is bright and clean too — none of that stuffy, greasy feel you sometimes get at pork belly places, it really seemed well kept 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ hahaha.

Free banchan refills at Sammi-jip's self-service corner
There were fresh vegetables and all kinds of side dishes hahaha. If you want more, you can just grab as much as you like from the self-service corner! By the way, the bean sprouts were so good hahaha.

The neat little side dishes were set out one by one, and each one felt carefully made and thoughtful~🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️ Minari (water dropwort) and kimchi, green onion salad and seasoned bean sprouts, onion, mushroom, garlic, sauces, and ice-cold dongchimi (watery radish kimchi), plus tidy side dishes and fresh lettuce for wraps to go with the meat.

Kimchi pork belly, pre-grilled and served on a pot lid
Finally, the meat I'd been waiting and waiting for arrived!!!! The golden-brown pork belly came pre-grilled together on a pot lid. I picked up a piece — crispy outside, juicy inside — dipped it lightly in just salt, and the moment I bit in, savory juices burst through my mouth along with a chewy texture, so good hahaha.
They topped it with green onion salad, seasoned bean sprouts, minari, mushrooms, and well-fermented kimchi~~ The visuals ㅠㅠㅠ I could immediately see why so many people recommend Sammi-jip as a top Cheongna pork belly restaurant and Cheongna meat restaurant~~ A piece of the golden-grilled pork on lettuce and perilla leaf, with garlic and the special sauce, wrapped into one big bite — the meat juices and vegetables came together so well I kept eating without ever getting tired of it 🐷🐷🐷🐷

Plain rice sold out, so we ordered kimchi bibim noodles
Since Sammi-jip was out of steamed rice, I ordered kimchi bibim noodles (₩8,000) instead, and it was genuinely delicious~ It paired so well with the meat that I think I'd order it again next time hahaha.

Finishing the meal with cheese fried rice
Fried rice is basically dessert for Koreans hahahaha. Last of all, we added fried rice (₩5,000) with cheese (₩3,000) — and honestly, what more is there to say~~~ ☺️☺️☺️ It's the flavor everyone already knows and loves hahaha.

Receipt review event and final verdict on Sammi-jip
Sammi-jip is also running a receipt review event — write a photo review and you get injeolmi (sweet rice cake) ice cream and a drink on the house. I noticed this on my way out, so I missed the chance to join in, which was a bit disappointing ㅠㅠ. The quality of the meat, the clean atmosphere, and the friendly service — nothing was lacking~~ If you're after a satisfying, filling meal, I'd strongly recommend giving Sammi-jip a visit~~ hahaha.
