Gimhae Italian restaurant with half-and-half pizza: Anin Jeongmiso

My first visit to Anin Jeongmiso on Bongridangil

I went to Bongridangil for dinner with a friend and finally visited Anin Jeongmiso (안인정미소), a place I’d kept thinking I should try whenever I passed by but had never actually visited! I suddenly got curious that day, so my friend and I went together ^o^

I heard that Anin Jeongmiso and Gaenari Jutaek (개나리주택), which have held their spot on Gimhae’s Bongridangil for a long time, are now run together as one space. I also remember enjoying Gaenari Jutaek, so it’s nice to be able to taste both in one place 💗

Where should you park?

Anin Jeongmiso does not have its own dedicated parking lot, so you’ll need to use nearby parking. There are quite a few free parking lots around Bonghwang-dong, so I think you can find an open spot and walk over. We parked nearby and walked too, and it wasn’t as far as I expected :)

An interior with the feel of an old rice mill

The interior at Anin Jeongmiso was really unique. The space was originally an old rice mill and was remodeled, so the machinery used in the mill is still there. It was fun to look around because you can really feel that old-fashioned atmosphere that’s hard to find these days, and the overall vintage yet warm feeling was exactly my kind of vibe :)

Ordering half-and-half pizza and white ragù truffle pasta

You order directly at the kiosk. There was a wide variety of pizzas, plus pasta, risotto, and more, so it looked easy to choose according to your taste!

A half-and-half pizza that was delicious to the very edge

We ordered the half-and-half pizza, and it arrived surprisingly quickly! They say they use house-made dough and tomato sauce, and the dough was just right—not too thick and not too thin 👍

Best of all, even the crust was delicious. Usually I leave the edges when eating pizza, but the dough itself was so good here that I enjoyed every last bite haha. Since it’s a half-and-half pizza, it was also nice to enjoy two flavors at once and choose what suited our tastes!

White ragù truffle pasta for truffle lovers

If you love truffles, I really, really recommend the white ragù truffle pasta! Truffle oil is added to their house-made ragù sauce, and this combination worked so much better than I expected ㅠㅠ The sauce was wonderfully thick and clung well to the pasta, and I loved the subtle truffle aroma that rose with every bite. That truffle scent was seriously amazing....🤎
