Busan sushi lunch with cold soba: Moshi Moshi Sushi

It had been a while since I met a friend for lunch at a Japanese restaurant in Nampo. My friend and I both love sushi so much, haha. Let me introduce the sushi spread we had at this sushi restaurant on the 10th-floor dining level of Lotte Department Store Gwangbok.^^

Moshi Moshi Sushi is a famous sushi specialty restaurant in Busan. It ran for 15 years at its Busan National University branch, and its Gwangbok and Dongnae branches have continued as directly operated stores rather than franchises.

There is a clear reason to come all the way here for sushi at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok.^^ I came with high expectations. You can shop at the department store and have sushi too, and the parking is convenient, spacious, and comfortable—perfect for a meal after shopping.

There are so many kinds of sushi, along with tempura, sashimi, noodles, and cooked dishes. So many options can make choosing difficult, haha, but I think the upside is getting to try a little of this and that. Be sure to take part in the Naver review event too!!

We ordered Assorted Sushi B with tempura and added cold soba.^^ What a generous spread.

This was the lovely spread served at the sushi restaurant in Lotte Department Store Gwangbok. The fish topping each type of sushi was thick, large, and fresh.

Cold soba that comes to mind on a hot day

The cold soba was well cooked and had a lovely buckwheat aroma. This is the best thing on a hot day, right?^^ The portion was generous too. Since the broth gets watered down as you eat, I prefer it a little salty from the start. The seasoning was just right at first, then became a little mild toward the end, so I think those who do not like salty food would enjoy it.

The salad, soft tofu with perilla seed dressing, and tempura were all perfect as appetizers and a finish!! Everything was delicious. The soft tofu and salad were both the best!!

There was even eel and yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare)^^ Everything was springy and thick, with great texture and bounce. The rice texture and portion were just right too, so I savored each piece slowly and happily.

I was so happy to share delicious food and conversation with a lovely person at this sushi restaurant in Lotte Department Store Gwangbok. Since both my friend and I love sushi, it tasted even better.^^

Each upscale piece of sushi came on neat, clean plating. Both the selection and the taste were perfect. It was the perfect menu for slowly savoring the flavors while chatting with a friend I had not seen in a while.
