At a café, coffee is always the first thing I look for. Sitting there with a cup in front of me, in the middle of a busy day, felt like a chance to catch my breath. Drinking coffee at home or the office is different from coming to a café in person — you get to enjoy the atmosphere too, which is why I end up visiting cafés like this from time to time.

Madeleine and financier: the baked treats that came with the coffee
Brewers Coffee also has desserts that pair nicely with coffee. What caught my eye that day were the madeleines and financiers.

The madeleine had such a cute shape that, set next to the coffee, it really nailed that café-dessert look. The soft, moist texture typical of madeleines, with a subtle sweetness, went well with a strong coffee. It wasn't a heavy, filling dessert, so it was a nice light bite alongside coffee — I liked that. And of course, I couldn't skip the financier, which is a personal favorite!

The financier is a dessert whose appeal lies in the slightly crisp outside and moist, chewy inside. Paired with coffee, the nutty sweetness comes through even more, and the combination worked well. A sip of coffee, a bite of financier — such a good pairing, haha. Madeleines will suit those who like soft, moist desserts, while financiers are better for those who enjoy a nutty, chewy texture.

At Brewers Coffee, you can pair coffee with desserts like madeleines and financiers, making it a nice spot for a simple tea time. If you're looking for a café near Cheonan Terminal, or checking out Sinbu-dong cafés, this place is worth a visit.
