My husband usually goes for a style with a slight side part at the front. An iron perm is great for adding volume at the fringe and crown, and since he has straight hair, it also helps set the hair direction precisely, making styling so much easier!
After a simple trim, they decided to go with an iron perm on the back and a down perm on the sides.

They applied perm solution to soften the hair. You have to adjust the softening level carefully based on hair condition so it doesn't come out frizzy instead of pretty.
After a good hair wash and blow-dry, it was time for the curling iron to make those little curls~~!!!
