Weekday evening atmosphere and group rooms at KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong
The inside of KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong was really spacious — the tables had plenty of room between them and it felt super clean and comfortable haha.
We came on a weekday evening and it was pretty busy, but because the place is so big with good table turnover, it never felt crowded while we ate.

The group rooms are really well set up too haha. I'd recommend this place for a weekday work dinner.

What is on the buffet menu at KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong?
Check the photo slides for the full menu at KuuKuu Gold, a Bupyeong sushi spot! There's everything from Western, Korean, Japanese to Chinese food, plus sushi. The Western section is solid with fried rice, pasta, pizza, and tacos, plus a variety of meat dishes like duck, pork ribs, galbi, barbecue, and salmon steak. There's also lots of Chinese food like chili shrimp, mala xiangguo, and palbochae, along with Korean snacks like odeng (fish cake), tteokbokki, meatballs, and plenty of fried items haha.

There's a lot of Korean food too — soy sauce shrimp, side dishes, salad, and marinated crab, all pretty varied. They even have Hangang ramen you can cook yourself, and the draft beer is free-flow haha.
True to its reputation as a Bupyeong sushi spot, the sushi selection was massive — so many kinds of rolls and sushi that it was fun just picking what to eat. Desserts and drinks were well stocked too, with coffee, various teas, soda, slushies, bubble tea, bingsu (shaved ice), and ice cream. The fruit lineup was huge too — pudding, kiwi, watermelon, pineapple, mango, melon, dragon fruit, lychee — and the dessert selection was massive as well, with egg tarts, choux pastries, brownies, chocolate cake, cheesecake, crepe cake, peach cake, macarons, and donuts, all high quality and delicious haha.

The Yukhaejinmi self-grill meat corner
KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch also has a separate meat-grilling corner called Yukhaejinmi (육해진미) haha. Everything you need — grills, tongs, scissors, plates — is all set up there, and the meat selection ranges from pork and beef to chicken neck, eel, and scallops. There's a wide variety of vegetables to grill alongside, plus plenty of sauces and side dishes, all at a quality level that matches a dedicated meat restaurant.

First plate: barbecue, sushi and Chinese dishes
Our first plate was various barbecue and sushi — every piece of sushi was great quality, and the barbecue was really good too. The gamjatang (pork bone soup) fried rice was tasty as well.

The salad, pasta, and meat dishes were tasty, and the gambas was nicely spicy. The sushi was great too — conch sushi, raw shrimp, and aged kimchi raw fish sushi were all delicious haha.
We also grabbed soup, galbi, and gguabaro (sweet and sour pork) from the Chinese section — everything was high quality and delicious, so we ate until we were stuffed haha.

Grilling two rounds of seasoned yakiniku and scallops
They also grilled various meats for us at the Yukhaejinmi corner. The heat was strong so everything cooked fast, and with such a wide variety of meats and great quality, it was delicious.

They grilled mushrooms, pineapple, and green onion alongside, and the seasoned yakiniku was especially delicious.

After finishing the meat, we grilled another round. Scallops with shredded green onion, radish wraps, ssamjang, and sesame oil dip all made it even more delicious.

How the free-flow draft beer works at KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong
The draft beer is free-flow, so we had a glass each.
To get draft beer, you take your bill to the counter, they check your ID, and give you a wristband — then you just tag the wristband to fill your glass with refills haha.
Three chocolate cakes and the dessert corner
We were already stuffed but dessert was a must, so we grabbed a ton. The melon was seriously sweet and delicious, and the pineapple wasn't sour at all haha.

And the cakes at KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch are seriously the real deal. The apple lemon cake was insane, and there were three kinds of chocolate cake, all so good it was hard to pick a favorite. You have to try the chocolate cake — as a self-proclaimed chocolate cake fanatic, I guarantee it's good.

I made bingsu with rice cakes added, and grabbed ball-shaped ice cream, gelato, pudding, and went back for more melon because it was so good haha.

If you're looking for a sushi spot or an all-you-can-eat buffet in Bupyeong, how about giving KuuKuu Gold Bupyeong Branch a try?
