Ahhh, I've been stuck at home with the kid so much that my roots grew out and at some point it got sooo bothersome ㅠㅠ (someone who dreams of a world without root touch-ups...)

With parents' birthdays, weddings, and all kinds of gatherings packed into this second half of the year, I zipped in for a root touch-up and a crisp layered cut—

Uaroom sits in a residential area of Maetan-dong, Suwon, with parking on the first floor and the salon on the second, so there's zero worry about where to park. It's open from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Is anyone else out there who only seeks out salons with a good vibe?! I know it's totally subjective, but at some point I became someone who only goes to salons that make me feel excited the second I walk in haha

Uaroom, which has great vibes from the outside already, is located in the Maetan-dong residential area. Second floor is the salon, first floor is parking! (No parking worries at all)

Open the door and a bright white front desk greets you—phew, so clean right from the entrance, my heart's already fluttering

Beside it, a spacious, bright interior unfolds under generous lighting, all polished and upscale

1:1 designer service and a price list you can read from your seat

Ah, here's one important point! At Uaroom, the designers handle everything 1:1 from start to finish (shampoo, blow-dry, all of it). It feels a bit like being pampered... haha

They even bring you a cup of coffee before starting. I rushed out on a weekday evening, leaving the baby with my husband, but this small moment of ease... so precious ㅠㅠ

Sometimes at a new salon there's no price list anywhere and I end up hesitating, but here you can check the prices right from your seat, which put my mind at ease :)

How did the root touch-up and layered cut at Uaroom turn out?

The services I got at Uaroom were a root touch-up and a layered cut. Having kept a bright hair tone for over ten years, the grown-out roots bothered me the most, but the root touch-up alone made it look as clean as a full re-dye.

Finally starting! The length has been creeping up and the ends keep bothering me the more I look at them ㅠㅠ (ugh, looking at this again, the length is so messy)

Phew—the roots are pretty bad too. I've kept a bright hair tone for over ten years, and it feels like my hair grows faster the older I get, so lately I've been living in root-touch-up hell ㅠㅠ

Why Uaroom's shampoo chair is so comfortable

Oh, and one more thing—Uaroom's shampoo is seriously top-notch :) I've been to a lot of salons, but this was the best shampoo chair I've ever experienced haha

The shampoo chair reclines completely flat, and even with the back of my head against the basin, my neck felt so comfortable I nearly dozed off haha. I've never had shampoo time feel this relaxing! Uaroom's shampoo chair is the best ㅠㅠ

After the shampoo and blow-dry, the once-bothersome black roots were completely gone, leaving roots clean enough to look like a full re-dye haha

A layered cut for fine, limp hair

When raising a baby, you always have to tie your hair up so it doesn't get grabbed... but I still want my tied-up hair to look good, so I went the extra step for a layered cut too haha

My hair is thin and limp without much volume, but Designer Soy cut it perfectly to my needs—just the right amount of layering plus texturizing at the ends ㅠㅠ

I had to rush home right after to get back to parenting, but she finished it perfectly with a full blow-dry too haha (ugh—my hair looks so pretty)

It only was a root touch-up, but it feels as clean as a full re-dye haha

Does Uaroom do hair extensions and hair-volume treatments?

Ah! Designer Soy is actually a hair extension master!! They say there's no one who's tried extensions just once—once you start, you keep coming back. She also does hair-volumizing treatments, so I plan to come back again next time I want a fuller style haha
