5pm opening rush, full in 6 minutes: pho at Dongtan Station, Mibundang

Today I went to Mibundang, a pho spot right in front of Dongtan Station. Parking is easy — just park in the building and they'll enter your parking time for you~

A wait already, right after the 5pm opening?

I walked in thinking, since it just opened, there'd be plenty of seats. But no...?! It was 5pm opening so I figured I'd get in around 5:06, but the place was already packed... Everyone who came in after us had to wait. Even before eating a bite, I knew this place was legit haha

If you've eaten at Mibundang before, you'll know they go for a quiet atmosphere, so it's best to save the chatting for after the meal~~ They're also running an event where you get a drink for a receipt review, so check it out if you're interested~

Tableware and hair ties at every seat

Each seat has its own neatly arranged tableware, and up top there's sauce, hair ties, even a mask hook...👍 You can just feel how thoughtful this place is haha

Seated right in front of the open kitchen

We were right in front of the open kitchen, so we got to watch the staff work — really clean, really fast movements. Had a total pro vibe.

Chop chop chop! It just so happened our seats were right in front of the cooking station, so it was fun to watch ><

Watching what looked like my own bowl of pho being made~ seeing them casually pile on a huge amount of sprouts and meat toppings right in front of my eyes had me 100% excited

Brisket pho, 10,000 won

This is the pho my friend picked. Since it's only 10,000 won I thought the topping might be light, but no — they piled on an enormous chunk of brisket the size of an open palm. This seemed to be the most popular menu item. Probably because it's just the soft brisket, no extras :)

Brisket-tendon pho, 13,000 won

This is the one I ordered — brisket topping plus shredded brisket point and tendon on top. The portion is honestly so enormous you'd think you need to train like a competitive eater to finish it....?!!!! And the meat toppings, why are there so many, I actually got worried there'd be leftovers, that's how much they give you.

Can you tell how big it is from the photo? It's really enormous.... I was genuinely taken aback when I got it. But gotta eat it deliciously anyway haha

Isn't the tendon tough?

This must be the tendon. I figured something called tendon would be super chewy and tough, but no — it's incredibly soft and tender. It has that chewy, collagen-packed texture, you can really taste it haha

The meat is so big and sliced so thin I have to wonder how they even managed it — big and tender. Across the board, the meat toppings here are top-tier.

Free refills on noodles and sprouts

They already give you a ton of sprouts and rice noodles, and on top of that! If you run out, you get free refills.... this place is genuinely so generous... ㅠㅠ The broth is really rich and tasty... ah...

Great for solo meals or dates alike

It was a really delicious meal. To use the current slang, it was a real

savory (야르한) meal haha. The broth even had a bit of that samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) feel to it, so it genuinely felt like a restorative meal — I think it's a paradise for people who eat a lot. A few guys at other tables got refills too. This place is seriously generous.

It had been a while since I had pho, and eating it at such a great spot made for a really happy meal. If you're in Dongtan looking for a great pho place, or need a solo dining spot near Dongtan Station, or even a date spot — this seems like a good pick all around.
