You know those days when you want to enjoy some free time alone, with pasta and a leisurely brunch? I had gone to the Guwol-dong area to run errands a little while ago and still hadn’t eaten even after lunchtime had passed 🥺🥺 Since I had to eat alone, I looked around for what to have and heard there was a truly great place with Blue Ribbon certification, so I went to demolish some pasta and give myself a little healing time, haha.

Withwich completely won me over with its handmade sandwiches made from fresh ingredients, pasta at the absolute peak of creamy richness, and proudly roasted coffee ♥️

Withwich is a brunch dining space in Guwol-dong where you can enjoy a delicious meal and drinks together, and it is hugely popular thanks to its fresh ingredients and stylish menu lineup! What was especially great for arriving by car was the generous two and a half hours of parking support 👍 No pressure if you want to chat away over brunch, right? >_<❣️

A space with picture windows and an open kitchen

As soon as I stepped inside, the picture windows along one side made it feel wonderfully open, while the open kitchen created a lively, bright atmosphere. There were plenty of tables and high chairs, too. There was such a mix of guests, from people casually having sandwiches alone to moms at brunch get-togethers 👏 It was a Guwol-dong pasta spot where you could visit alone and feel totally at ease!

Handmade dishes and coffee roasted in-house

Looking over the menu, I found everything from sandwich-and-drink combo sets that are great for a light solo meal to wood-fired pizza sets made for groups, all put together with great value. They prepare fresh ingredients every morning and make everything themselves, from the sauces to the cooking. They are serious about coffee, too, using only freshly roasted beans that have been roasted in-house within the last month 😲👍

They operate a “coffee real-name system,” disclosing the roast date and origin of their beans, and you can really feel how proud they are of their coffee 🤓

Ordering carbonara and ricotta cheese salad

Withwich’s sandwiches are delicious too, but I heard it has become famous lately as a Guwol-dong pasta spot, so I made a proper order of carbonara cream pasta, honey ricotta cheese salad, and a café latte 🤤💕

Water, tableware, and pickles are available at the self-service bar, and you return your dishes to the tray return station when you are done! There were lots of chefs cooking in the kitchen, and maybe that is why my order came out in no time. Even the look of that carbonara screamed my name 🥹♥️

A salad loaded with handmade ricotta

The honey ricotta cheese salad was absolutely loaded with handmade ricotta, and it came with warmly toasted baguette slices! It was packed with cherry tomatoes, pineapple, and nutty olives too, and the harmony of flavors was a work of art 🥹👍 I chose it in case the pasta might feel too rich, and it was such a good choice!

There was so much ricotta that it kept appearing no matter how much I ate—magic 🔮 The owner of Withwich is so proud of the coffee that I got curious and ordered the café latte too... ☕️ It was absolutely perfect for this latte lover 👍 The balance of nutty notes and deep flavor was flawless. It was so good that after I had finished everything, I got another cup to take out when I left the café... ☕️

Carbonara packed with bacon and mushrooms

The long-awaited carbonara was pasta distinguished by its luscious, rich sauce loaded with bacon and mushrooms. It was pure nutty cream-sauce goodness without being heavy at all... 💜

The sauce was so nutty and deeply flavorful that I diligently dipped in the baguette from the salad too, scraping up every last drop of sauce, hahaha. I could completely understand why it is known as a Guwol-dong pasta favorite!
