A sundae-guk restaurant near Moraenae Market Station
It is a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Moraenae Market Station.

Yennal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Guwol Moraenae Market Station Branch is near the main entrance of Moraenae Market. It is close to the station and easy to get to from the market too, so it seemed like a good spot for a quick meal.
A menu you can choose to suit what you want to eat
There were old-school-style menu options to enjoy according to your taste. Sundae-guk (Korean sausage soup) came with local sundae, head meat, and pork intestines; dwaeji-gukbap (pork soup with rice) had just head meat; and the no-sundae option had head meat and pork intestines, and so on.
What I liked about Yennal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk was that the menu was set up to allow customization. You can choose a dish with only what you want in it, which felt pretty nice?

The self-serve bar and table seasonings

The self-serve bar had ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), salted shrimp, kkakdugi radish kimchi, onion, chili peppers, and kimchi.

The basic table setting had the same items as the self-serve bar. They bring everything out at first, so it seems like you can just refill the side dishes you need.

On the table were salt, pepper, chili oil, dadegi spicy seasoning paste, salted shrimp, chili peppers, and perilla seed powder. People who eat gukbap seem to have their own custom way of seasoning it, so the table sauces are important too. The person I went with said the dadegi seasoning was not bad and the perilla seed powder was just right.
An honest review of the sundae-guk set and samgyetang

We ordered samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) and the sundae-gukbap set: sundae-gukbap, a bowl of rice, chewy sundae, and pyeonyuk (sliced boiled pork).
Chewy sundae and pyeonyuk

There was chewy sundae filled with glass noodles and pyeonyuk. They gave us chives too, and when I ate them with the pyeonyuk, the fragrant aroma filled my mouth. It was easy to enjoy.
Sundae-gukbap with sundae, head meat, and pork intestines

This sundae-guk had sundae, head meat, and pork intestines. It arrived bubbling away. It was not even the large size, but my companion liked how substantial the contents were. They even said there was no off smell at all and it was perfect for a proper meal, so it felt like a decent place to come alone for lunch or dinner too?
Samgyetang with sticky rice inside

The samgyetang came with a sturdy chicken. Like the soup, it arrived still bubbling. I like to start with the meat along the back, so I split the chicken right down the middle and began my little dissection, only to find sticky rice tucked inside. Ah, the sticky rice that would be such a shame to miss in samgyetang. Seeing it packed completely full suddenly made me happy.
The samgyetang comes unseasoned, so it arrives with salt. I recommend adjusting the seasoning to taste, or pulling off the meat and dipping it in salt—whatever you prefer.
They told us that samgyetang takes about 10 minutes after ordering. If you are in a hurry but craving samgyetang, I recommend calling the restaurant in advance.
Post-meal coffee to grab on your way out

There was a coffee machine by the entrance. It was just right for grabbing a cup of coffee after the meal on the way out. Since it was at the entrance rather than the counter, it was easy to take with you as you left.
A filling solo meal for lunch or dinner
I recommend it if you are looking for a place to eat alone around Guwol Moraenae Market for lunch or dinner. If you are near the entrance to Moraenae Market looking for gukbap or uncooked takeout, try Yennal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Guwol Moraenae Market Station Branch.
