Gangnam rooftop café for late-night moon-gazing: Selected Nicks

Selected Nicks' tiramisu is moist all the way to the bottom in true Italian style, and the café is so large that one visit isn't enough to see every floor.

Today I want to introduce Selected Nicks, a large café near Gangnam Station. It's a café from the basement all the way up to the 8th-floor rooftop, and every floor except the 4th, 5th, and 6th has its own distinct theme and atmosphere, so it's great to pick whichever vibe you're in the mood for, settle in, and work while sipping coffee. Let's get started!
1st floor dessert display, great for picking out gifts
The 1st floor is where you order and buy desserts, with lots of gift-worthy desserts on display. The layout is really pretty and there's a wide variety of flavors, so it'd be perfect for gifting an assortment!
I visited a bit late so all the financiers were already sold out, haha... maybe they're famous for their financiers?

8th-floor rooftop, Gangnam's night view the day after rain
The rooftop is seriously insane. It was the day right after rain, so the weather was so cool and pleasant, and drinking coffee up high in the middle of Gangnam felt absolutely amazing, haha.
The rooftop seating is spacious enough that a group could push tables together and drink together.
But that house that looks like it's straight out of Greece — where even is that? I want to go check out that rooftop!!

Each floor's atmosphere and 8th-floor opening hours
Let me give you a quick rundown of the floors.
The 8th-floor café has set opening hours. It opens from 5pm on weekdays and from 11am on weekends, so keep that in mind.
2nd floor is an art exhibition space
The 2nd-floor café area doubles as an art exhibition space, so it's also nice for browsing artwork.
The 2nd floor is very spacious, bright, and clean in atmosphere.
I thought it might be a smoking room, but it turned out to be an outdoor terrace space, haha. The tables really do look just like smoking room ashtrays though...
It's amazing how different the atmosphere is on every single floor — such a great space for reading, working, or just focusing. If it were close to home, I think I'd come three or four times a week!!!
The basement café space also looked comfortable for a nice cup of coffee ^^
How's the classic tiramisu?
Classic tiramisu.
Made with a true Italian recipe, the tiramisu's cake layers are moist and soft. Personally, this is exactly the kind of authentic-recipe tiramisu I love. The bottom layer is moist enough that some people find it too soggy or mushy for their taste, but honestly, I'm the type who enjoys it even if the bottom is soaked through even more than this. So Selected Nicks' tiramisu is close to the exact tiramisu I really want, and I highly recommend it, haha.

The lattes are strong even without an extra shot
The latte tasted strong even without an extra shot added, which woke me right up, haha. As the ice melts a bit, you get to taste a lighter version of the latte too — a nice café to slowly and leisurely enjoy both the strong and mellow sides of the latte.
A large café that one visit isn't enough for
Today I introduced Selected Nicks in Gangnam. It's so huge that it's hard to experience the atmosphere of every single floor in one visit, haha. If you're grabbing coffee with a friend in Gangnam, this is a large café worth coming back to again and again — great for the Gangnam night view, and great for the feeling of drinking coffee outdoors in a cool breeze. Definitely recommend Selected Nicks.
The moon was hanging so huge and low that day, I actually thought at first it was a light reflected in the glass, haha. It was really perfect for moon-gazing and felt so full of atmosphere, which made it even better.
