Cheongdam hair salon ash brown dye without bleach: Beorn Hair
In short
Beorn Hair Cheongdam is a hair salon in Cheongdam, Seoul that checks your current hair condition before matching a color. After swimming and sun exposure left the top and bottom of the hair in mismatched, yellowed tones, Beorn Hair Cheongdam corrected it to a calm cool-toned ash brown with no bleaching, then finished with a scalp massage and scalp pack. A good choice if you want patchy dye tones evened out without strain, starting from a thorough consultation.

This summer I went swimming and got a ton of sun, and at some point my hair color just went haywire lol. The dye I'd originally had was mostly faded, and with the top and bottom tones going different directions, this yellow tint came rushing in and I basically ended up looking like a delinquent... lol. I couldn't stand looking messy in the mirror anymore, so while searching for a salon near Gangnam-gu Office Station that's good with color, I found Beorn Hair Cheongdam and went in.

Beorn Hair Cheongdam, a short walk from Gangnam-gu Office Station

It was close to Gangnam-gu Office Station, so it was easy to find, and since it's near Cheongdam and Apgujeong Rodeo, it was also convenient to grab food or coffee afterward haha. I actually booked a restaurant nearby to match the time my hair appointment would end.
As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly, and the whole space felt spacious and stylish, so the first impression was great! When I was there, there were also foreign family customers, and I noticed how kindly each one was attended to.
What the consultation covered for patchy, yellowed hair

What I wanted was a cool-toned ash brown that killed as much of the yellow as possible. But they honestly explained that, given my current hair condition, getting the full ash look from the reference photo I showed them wasn't possible without bleaching. Instead, we decided to go with a calm cool-toned brown that brought out as much ash feeling as possible from my current hair while toning down the red and yellow tones. Good good.
While searching for a salon near Gangnam-gu Office Station, the most important thing to me was finding a place that would work with my current hair rather than just covering it all dark, and I liked that they did a pretty thorough consultation.

My hair in particular wasn't a consistent brightness from roots to ends, with some noticeably darker sections in between, so it was tricky to decide on a color. They matched the overall tone roughly to the darkest section while keeping it from looking too black, and decided to blend the roots with the existing dyed hair so they wouldn't look disconnected.
Instead of just picking one ash brown and slapping it on, they checked my current hair color section by section before deciding, which was reassuring haha.
The result: a calm cool-toned ash brown, no bleach

After the dye went on, they brought me drinks and snacks, so time flew by while I snacked and looked at my phone. They checked on the color developing along the way and carefully made sure the tone flowed naturally from roots to ends.
Before dyeing, the top and bottom colors were mismatched and the ends even had yellow mixed in, but once the color set, the whole thing felt much calmer and more even!

And the shampoo felt so good lol. It wasn't just rinsing out the dye — they gave me a thorough scalp massage and even a scalp pack, so it felt like a mini head spa. I was starting to get tired from sitting so long for the dye, so it felt like a nice break. The staff also kept checking in to see if I was uncomfortable, so I could relax through it all haha.
Still neat with just a blow-dry and no flat iron

At the end, after they dried my hair and I checked the color, it came out prettier than I expected! It's not the full gray-toned ash I originally wanted, but within what's possible without bleaching, the yellow was toned down and that cool, calm brown feeling really came through!
Best of all, once the patchy, uneven parts were sorted out, my hair texture itself looked cleaner than before. It's strange — they didn't even style it hard with a flat iron, just blow-dried it, but the whole vibe changed.
It really does seem like, even without a big cut or perm change, just evening out the color alone can completely change your look. The sun-yellowed, messy hair had been stressing me out, but now it finally feels like I have normal human hair lol.

If you're wondering where to get your hair dyed near Gangnam-gu Office Station, Beorn Hair Cheongdam is a salon that's pretty thorough from consultation through to deciding the final color. I also liked that instead of just saying yes to whatever color I wanted, they explained what was realistically possible with my current hair and then matched it as close as they could to the cool-toned ash brown I wanted. I think I'll be coming back to this Cheongdam spot whenever I need to fix yellowed or patchy dye tones again haha.
