Kari is a Bundang restaurant I really enjoyed — great atmosphere, great food, an Indian restaurant that delivers on both.
Where is Kari Bundang Jeongja Café Branch, and what are its hours?

📍 A short walk from Exit 5 of Jeongja Station 🅿️ Parking is available inside the Dongyang Paragon building. The location of this Bundang restaurant is genuinely great. It's near Jeongja Café Street, an easy walk from Jeongja Station, so there are plenty of nice cafés nearby too, and with easy parking you can visit worry-free.
⏰ Hours for this Bundang restaurant Daily 11:00 - 21:30 Last order 21:00 Please plan your visit around these hours. It's open every day of the year with no closed days, and having no break time was also a plus — we ended up visiting for a late lunch.

Curries from a chef trained at five-star hotels
A place run by a cook with experience in a five-star hotel in India, selected as a Blue Ribbon spot for several years running, and great to visit with kids. This isn't just any Indian restaurant — because the chef has five-star hotel experience, you can eat properly made curry here. I'd call this a once-in-a-lifetime curry spot.

Kari, this Bundang restaurant, uses carefully selected natural spices and cooks in the traditional way with a chef from an Indian hotel, apparently 👀 Actually this was my second visit — I ate here a year ago and it left such an impression that I wanted to come back with my mother-in-law when she visited 〰️

Inside Kari: private room, and going with a baby
The overall atmosphere is really nice and spacious ⋰˚★ It has an Indian feel but also a sophisticated look, there's a private room, and the interior is bigger than you'd expect — so I'd recommend it not just for family meals like ours but for dates, work dinners, or group gatherings too.
When you visit with a baby, they provide a baby chair and baby dishware, which makes it easy to bring little ones ⋰˚★ And it's not just any baby dish — it's shaped like a car, which kids will love! We visited with our baby and had a comfortable meal.

What comes in the 56,000 won couple set at Kari
✔️ Kari couple set ₩56,000 + extra portion ₩28,000 It comes with pakora + Kari shrimp paneer salad + tandoori chicken + 2 curries + naan or rice + coffee or any drink + dessert. We ordered tikka masala curry with chicken and korma curry with lamb!

For drinks we ordered mango lassi, blueberry lassi, and chai — three, all deliberately picked as famous Indian drinks.
So how does this Bundang restaurant Kari actually taste?!
Drinks at Kari: lassi and chai
Mango lassi, blueberry lassi and chai
Chai is basically synonymous with India — a signature Indian handmade yogurt drink! I ordered it thinking it would smooth out the spice flavors between bites during the meal. Tasting it, it wasn't that artificial yogurt-powder flavor at all, but a real, heavy, properly fermented yogurt taste — genuinely delicious...
My mother-in-law ordered the authentic Indian milk tea, chai! It arrived in a warm teacup, and I had a sip too — fragrant and honey-sweet. It had a real, heavy, smooth black tea flavor, quite different from an ordinary sweet milk tea. A much more refined taste — I really recommend it.

Pakora and shrimp paneer salad
The appetizer served was pakora, a traditional Indian fried dish! The golden, crispy exterior was appealing, and it was fried lightly enough to be a nice pre-meal bite. Crispy, fried — how could that not be good.

The shrimp paneer salad was distinctive and delicious. Ordering the set at this Bundang restaurant, Kari, brought this salad too — not your everyday salad, but one piled with soft, mild Indian-style paneer cheese, which I loved.

Plump, springy shrimp, savory paneer cheese, crisp vegetables, and a spiced dressing on top made this truly distinctive and delicious — I cleaned the plate 〰️

Tandoori chicken: drier than expected?
Tandoori chicken, roasted in a traditional clay oven with the oil drained away! It's chicken marinated for 24 hours in traditional Indian spices and yogurt, then roasted to be light and mild. It's a signature Indian dish.

Apparently this tandoori chicken is roasted in a top-grade tandoor that drains off the fat — it was tender and delicious! There's a common bias that tandoori chicken is dry, but Kari's version was genuinely soft and juicy and delicious!
The chicken came prepared with a mix of different cuts, and every single cut was delicious — that was the trap... haha. The exotic savory depth of the spices was very appealing, but it wasn't overdone — a subtle aroma that I think everyone would enjoy without exception.

It was well-seasoned too, nicely salty and delicious, and dipping it in the yogurt sauce, it had nothing to envy from fried chicken places. I genuinely have to call this the best tandoori chicken of my life. A five-star chef's restaurant really is different, different~

Tikka masala and makhani curries with three kinds of naan
The main dishes — tikka masala, korma curry and three kinds of naan — arrived in generous portions! The amount of food was truly more than I expected. The three of us ate until we were completely full. And the naan sizes were seriously huge — the trap.
We ordered three kinds of naan: plain naan, butter naan, garlic naan. Rice was an option too, but we agreed curry is best enjoyed with naan, so we went all naan. Maybe because it's low-temperature fermented, it was chewy and nutty, and paired with the curry it was genuinely delicious!

We chose chicken as the base for the tikka masala curry! It's a curry built on a rich, tangy tomato base with a kick of spicy seasoning. Thick and full-bodied, with that spicy edge — it's a flavor Koreans can't help but love.

The mild korma curry was paired with lamb. With butter and cream in it, it was extremely smooth, and it went really well with the tender lamb. There was zero gamey smell — smooth and delicious! The subtle sweetness was quite appealing too 〰️
The rich, fragrant aroma of the butter naan combined with korma curry is honestly love 🖤 The naan is delicious on its own, but topped with the korma-sauced lamb it's chewy and heavenly.
Since both the naan and the curries were delicious, honestly any combination was delicious — that was the trap ⋰˚★ Genuinely, any naan with any curry worked, so even my mother-in-law, who doesn't usually eat Indian food often, enjoyed it, and my husband and I ate happily too. It felt like a proper great-restaurant experience after a while.
For dessert at the end, lassi ice cream came out! Cool, sweet, and refreshing — a fitting finish to a great course.
Is Kari worth it for a family dinner near Jeongja Station?
If you're looking for a Bundang restaurant with both great atmosphere and great food, give this Indian restaurant, Kari, a try 🇮🇳 I think even people who don't usually eat Indian food would enjoy it without exception. It was delicious enough for my own taste that I came back for a second visit. Seriously so good. I really want to go again next time!
