What kind of Indian restaurant is Kari in Jeongja-dong?
Kari, an authentic Indian restaurant in Bundang Jeongja-dong. A real Bundang old-guard favorite! Anyone from Bundang knows this place. That's why we've been coming here for birthdays and anniversaries for over a decade now. Since we love Indian curry so much, we've probably been to just about every curry place in Bundang… but for taste, service, and atmosphere, this one is easily the best!!!
How to get to Kari from Jeongja Station, and where to park

and if you're driving, it connects directly to Dongyang Paragon's basement parking lot. The lot is spacious and offers 2 hours free, so you can drive without worry even on Jeongja-dong's notoriously hard-to-park café street.

The basement entrance connects directly to the parking lot.

Inside Kari Jeongja: atmosphere and the three private rooms
Classic and upscale — that's Kari. Step through the Blue Ribbon door and you're in a formal dining atmosphere unlike a casual curry restaurant. Moderate lighting, an overall calm monotone space with bright tangerine accents, and photo frames from India give it an exotic, upscale interior.

What sets Kari Jeongja Café Branch apart, #1: this upscale main hall plus three independent private group rooms! Great for groups, family events, and company dinners in a private setting. And with such an elegant, calm atmosphere, it's also a great spot to treat someone you're grateful for.

Authentic Indian cooking from a chef trained at five-star hotels
What sets Kari Jeongja Café Branch apart, #2: a chef with 5-star hotel experience in India cooks with organic turmeric at this authentic Indian restaurant. If you want good curry in Bundang, you have to visit! The curries, of course, but also the naan, the lassi, and everything else — genuinely delicious!!

Kari Jeongja menu and what we ordered
Most curries — makhani, korma, tikka masala — come with chicken, beef, lamb, or prawn options, so you can order to your taste! There's also a wide, delicious range of vegetable curries like palak paneer, aloo gobi, and dal makhani!!! Different tastes and diets are no problem — the variety makes it easy to visit and eat with anyone.
For a late weekend lunch, our picks: butter chicken curry + prawn makhani + naan + basmati rice + mango lassi!

Prawn makhani (creamy tomato prawn curry)
Big, plump prawns in a soft, savory tomato-cream makhani. For the tangy, fresh, clean tomato-cream curry, we'd recommend prawn over meat!

Butter chicken curry
Our favorite menu item — butter chicken curry. Sweet, smooth, deeply savory, and addictive!

A warmer keeps the curry hot from start to finish. That let us enjoy a slow, relaxed late lunch.

Plain naan and basmati rice
Plain naan and basmati rice. Mild, nutty naan and fluffy Indian rice — the best combination!

Wrapped in mild naan,

mixed into rice, dipped in — however you eat it, it's delicious! It's authentic, but the spices aren't overwhelming, so it's a crowd-pleaser for anyone. The butter chicken curry in particular is mild and sweet, making it a great recommendation for little kids too.
The mango lassi, generous with mango purée, isn't too sweet either — something both kids and adults will love. Finishing with the lassi, Kari was, once again, thoroughly satisfying!
