Gatjidong Noeun Branch is near Noeun Station! Being close to the station makes it easy to get to, and no no, no parking worries. There is a dedicated parking lot, so you can comfortably park even if you drive.

Let’s take a quick look at the menu before going in. Pork cutlets are Gatjidong’s main thing, but there are also lots of dishes to enjoy alongside them. There are plenty of noodle and rice-bowl choices too! Perfect for a family meal out.

As you would expect from a great pork cutlet place, there is an assorted cutlet platter for trying three types at once, natural-cheese pork cutlet, and the signature half-and-half pork cutlet made with first-grade pork loin aged for 160 hours! I was already excited about what to order, haha.

I went for Sunday lunch,! I thought it would be busy, so I deliberately arrived at opening time, and that was such a good choice. Right around the time I was really getting into my meal, the seats filled up,, and delivery orders were pouring in too, haha.

The restaurant was very spacious and comfortable too.

The individual dishes looked good too, but they also had set menus where you can enjoy two dishes at once! We ordered the plate buckwheat soba + one pork cutlet set and the half-and-half pork cutlet + mini udon.

Free services that are great when visiting with a child

⭐️And here is the key point. Furikake (seasoned rice topping) rice and vitamins for babies are free,,, You cannot exactly share pork cutlet with a little one, so I had been wondering what to do about a baby meal. I loved that they provide it free like this.

They also have high chairs and children’s tableware! The Mickey bowls are so cute 🐭

We filled up our side dishes at the self-service bar! And pay attention here! Did you see it on the kiosk earlier? “Gatjidong starts with a spoonful of old-fashioned soup.” Free soup is available at the self-service corner, so make sure you try it 💛

Another great thing,, rice and soup broth have unlimited refills,, Pork cutlet restaurants always seem to give you too little rice, so the owner’s generosity is GOAT,,,

We properly grabbed aprons too,,, and I added ground black pepper to my soup. I did not realize there was soup at first either, but I saw another guest having it and got some. Everyone, definitely! Try the soup. It tastes nostalgic.

They have a draft-beer machine too 🍺 Having it with pork cutlet in the evening would wash all the tiredness away.

The plate buckwheat soba and one pork cutlet set came out first! It may be autumn weather these days, but it is still hot in the daytime, right? I was really craving buckwheat soba, and the aroma of the rich sauce got my appetite going 🍃

The one-pork-cutlet set also comes with cabbage salad. The signature pork cutlet and mini udon set arrived right after that too. Since pork cutlets are Gatjidong’s main menu, I was so excited to taste them!!

As a buckwheat soba lover,, I had a bite of soba first. Did you know? The higher the buckwheat content, the softer and more tender the soba feels, and Gatjidong’s buckwheat soba was exactly like that! No wonder it was full of nutty buckwheat flavor. I mixed in the wasabi and grated radish. They gave such generous amounts of both wasabi and radish, which I really liked.

I loved this sauce. There was just the right amount of ice, so I could eat it nice and cool. Some soba places give you so much ice that you cannot taste its real flavor,, but I enjoyed every bite enough to call it a great buckwheat soba spot.

Pork cutlet with cool buckwheat soba,, what more is there to say ㅠㅠㅠ The sauce was rich too, so the combination was even better with the pork cutlet. I had a bite with the cabbage salad as well.

Crispy half-and-half pork cutlet and cheese

Now shall we try the signature pork cutlet set,,, My heart was fluttering even before cutting into it. There is a reason it is called the signature,, It was crispy from the moment I cut it, and this sauce,, it is a Korean-style Western pork cutlet sauce, and it was so delicious,, You know the flavor of the sauce matters when you eat pork cutlet.
