A great spot for group meetups or company dinners, and also perfect for college friends to just chill with chicken and beer. While searching, I found this hot new Hongdae Seongyo-dong outdoor bar — Kkoko Land — and went to check it out :)

The Kkoko Land storefront and the water feature at the entrance
The Kkoko Land sign catches your eye even from far away. Those flashy neon lights probably shine even brighter at night.
There's an underwater-themed sculpture right at the entrance.

How big is the 2nd-floor outdoor seating at Kkoko Land?

The place is spread across two floors, and it's really spacious and comfortable. The 2nd floor especially nails the outdoor-seating feel — lots of tables, an open layout, perfect for a Hongdae company dinner. There's even a big display playing music, and the vibe was so lively haha

The automatic awning: does Kkoko Land work on a rainy night?
An automatic awning that means no worries even in the rain! This was seriously impressive. You still get that outdoor vibe while not having to stress about the weather. That kind of thoughtful touch made this Sangsu bar feel even more special :)
Restrooms with a sink in every stall

The restrooms really stood out too. Each stall has its own sink, so it felt clean to use.
Separated by gender and spotless — really nice haha
Cat-cup welcome juice and the basic table setting

As soon as we sat down, we got a welcome drink — orange juice! Refreshing and sweet, perfect for kicking off the appetite. The basic side snacks came out with a nice touch too, and the cat-print cups were so cute ㅠㅠ
What's on the Kkoko Land menu, and how tablet ordering works

You order right from the table — super convenient. Flipping through the menu, it was packed with everything from charcoal barbecue to fried snacks to soups!
There were also lots of draft beer options, so it was easy to pick whatever suited your taste. We ordered the charcoal-grilled boneless chicken barbecue (sauced) and the chili's cheese sticks :)
How the charcoal-grilled boneless chicken barbecue (sauced) tasted

Finally, the main dish we ordered arrived!
It grabbed your attention just from the looks. A generous plate of sauced chicken barbecue piled up with a bunch of side dishes. That charcoal smoky smell was seriously making my mouth water ㅠㅠ

Chili's cheese sticks: crisp outside, molten inside
The chili's cheese sticks we ordered alongside the main dish — crispy outside, gooey inside! The coating was crunchy and the cheese pulled in long stretchy strings, savory and really delicious. Eating it with the chicken made for a fantastic combo haha
Sides at Kkoko Land and the notices on the wall

The cabbage salad, grilled corn, and potatoes that came with the barbecue were also a real treat. The fresh veggies and sweet corn paired well with the spicy chicken. Picking through everything was half the fun.
There was a helpful sign on the wall with info like cooking times. Worth a glance if you're curious about anything.

Even the cute chicken-shaped floss container on the counter was on point lol. Little details like this are exactly what make Kkoko Land charming.
