Second-round drinks near Euljiro3-ga station: tak-ju at Moss
In short
Moss is a Korean-style bar on the second floor of a building down a narrow alley near Euljiro3-ga station's Exit 12 in Jung-gu, Seoul. Stopping in for a second round, the writer ordered gochujang butter seafood stir-fry and a glass of Jiranjigyo tak-ju (unrefined rice wine) at a bar-style space stocked with makgeolli, cheongju, traditional liquors and even whiskey, all available by the glass. For a quiet second-round spot in Euljiro, Moss is a memorable pick.

Euljiro is full of hip bars hidden down alleyways, so there's real fun in hunting them out 😎 I had plans in Euljiro3-ga again this time, and there was a distinctive Korean-style bar I'd been wanting to check out. This is Moss, a bar near Euljiro3-ga station!
Moss's location, and how to find it from Euljiro3-ga station
📍 46-2 Supyo-ro, 2nd floor, Jung-gu, Seoul / 🚶 Near Euljiro3-ga station Exit 12

If you walk past Euljiro's old, characteristic buildings, you'll spot a really narrow alley — that's where you go in! I actually walked right past the sign because it was raining, but it's easier to find than you'd think 👀 Moss is on the second floor of the building!
Moss's interior and vibe — what are the seats like?

The moment I walked in I thought, 'this atmosphere is really good!' It's set up like a bar, with a wall of various liquors lined up out front — like a whiskey bar you'd only see in a drama — but with Korean-style interior touches mixed in, so it felt like a Korean bar that fit right in with Euljiro 💘 The space itself isn't big and the lighting is soft, so it's perfect for a cozy drink and a good chat with a friend or partner. That said, it's not only for small groups — there's a 6-person table too, so it looked totally comfortable for a group outing. In fact when I was there, it looked like a group at the big table was having a company dinner!
Moss's menu and what I ordered

Since I was there for a second round, I kept it light and just ordered one dish — everything looked good, so after some deliberation I went with the gochujang butter seafood stir-fry, and Jiranjigyo for the drink! There are so~ many kinds of alcohol here, so I'd recommend asking staff for a recommendation when you order. *You can check the full drink list on Moss's Naver Place page. Makgeolli and cheongju run ₩30,000–60,000, and traditional liquors run ₩60,000–80,000, for reference.

The namul (seasoned vegetable) side dishes that come as basics are genuinely delicious. You could probably drink a whole bottle of makgeolli on these alone .. 😎
Gochujang butter seafood stir-fry

Honestly, at first I was skeptical — 'do gochujang and butter actually go together?' But one bite in, I was a little surprised. The nuttiness of the butter softened gochujang's signature heat, making for a more harmonious flavor than I expected, and it wasn't overpowering, so I kept reaching for more. The seafood in it looked plump and fresh too, with good texture to bite into — a perfect drinking snack. It's Korean-based but reworked in a distinctive way, which made it stand out even more.
Jiranjigyo

Jiranjigyo is a sweet-and-sour tak-ju (unrefined rice wine)! My first thought when I tasted it was that it reminded me of white wine. The balance of grain sweetness and tangy acidity was great, and the aroma was especially bright, which brought out even more character. It's apparently a drink that pairs well with spicy food, and sure enough, it went really well with the gochujang butter seafood stir-fry!

They even gave us ice so we could drink it chilled like wine, which was such a nice touch!
Moss's biggest strength: everything from makgeolli to whiskey

Here's the point I really want to highlight! Moss is a bar that has makgeolli, traditional liquors, and cheongju, plus a solid whiskey lineup. It was surprising that a Korean-style bar would also stock whiskey, but that also means it's a lineup that can satisfy a group of people with all different drink preferences. Plus, you can order by the glass instead of committing to a whole bottle, which makes it easy to enjoy even on a night when you just want one or two light drinks.

There's a restroom too, which is an extra plus .. 💘

The bar-style atmosphere makes it great for a quiet drink with a partner or friend, and the 6-person table means it also works well for a bigger group. Above all, a Korean-style bar with this much drink variety — from makgeolli all the way to whiskey — is rare, which is what made it stick in my memory.
