Suwon hanwoo restaurant with yukhoe tangtang and private parking

In short

Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch is a premium hanwoo (Korean beef) grill restaurant on Hyowon-ro in Ingye-dong, Suwon. The writer ordered a hanwoo assortment for two plus yukhoe tangtang (beef tartare with octopus and abalone sashimi), grilling rib finger, brisket flap, flat iron, rib flap and sirloin over charcoal until it melted in the mouth. With dedicated parking right outside and private rooms available, it's an easy pick for family gatherings or a meal with parents.

Signature hanwoo grill photo from Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch

There's a place I want to recommend when you're craving beef that melts in your mouth. It's Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch.

The beef I had here was that classic taste of well-marbled hanwoo (Korean beef), lightly grilled over charcoal, that just melts away the second it hits your mouth. The quality was excellent, and the restaurant itself was clean and upscale, which made the whole meal feel special. It leaned more toward a premium hanwoo specialist — great for family gatherings, a meal with parents, a date, or a birthday. The lunch menu looked good too, so I'm planning to come back just for that next time.

Location and parking at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch

Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch is at 14-5 Hyowon-ro291beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It's close to Suwon's Na Hye-seok Street and near Suwon City Hall Station on the Suin-Bundang Line, Gyeonggi Arts Center, Suwon Outdoor Music Hall, and Hyowon Park. Business hours are listed as 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Ingye-dong is an area where parking stress is common when you're driving to dinner, so it's a real plus that Yeongpo Hwa-ro has its own dedicated parking space right in front.

This is the exterior of Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, a well-known beef restaurant in Ingye-dong. There's space for about 10 cars right in front. It felt much more comfortable to visit than the barbecue spots packed into the busy blocks of Ingye-dong.

Restaurant atmosphere and private rooms

The moment I walked in, there was this gorgeous, big chandelier. It immediately gave me the sense that the beef here was going to taste more upscale and refined.

Interior tables at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch
Neatly arranged seating inside the grill restaurant

The tables inside look like this — genuinely clean and upscale for a barbecue restaurant.

There are also private rooms for group or private dining. With group seating available, it seemed like a great spot for company dinners, family gatherings, or important appointments. Business hours and menu prices can change, so I'd recommend checking the latest information before visiting.

Menu and lunch options

The menu at Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, a well-known beef restaurant in Ingye-dong, includes hanwoo, Korean pork, and various set menus, plus a lunch menu of hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap and minari galbitang. The table next to us was having the lunch menu, and it made me think I should come back for lunch next time.

There's a yukhoe bibimbap place I usually go to near my office in this neighborhood, but Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch was ₩1,000 cheaper, had a nicer atmosphere, and the yukhoe was even tastier.

For this visit, we ordered the hanwoo assortment for two and the yukhoe tangtang.

Table setting with coarse roasted salt, kimchi, cucumber, and other banchan

I think salt matters a lot when eating grilled beef, and here it came out as nicely roasted coarse salt. The banchan (side dishes), including kimchi and cucumbers, were all good too.

Charcoal grill set on the table

The charcoal grill itself was pretty too.

What comes in the hanwoo assortment for two

The hanwoo assortment arrived. Look at that marbling and color — doesn't it look amazing?? You could tell right away the meat quality was excellent. It included rib finger, brisket flap, flat iron, rib flap, and sirloin, and every cut melted in the mouth.

They grilled the meat for us like this,

Grilled hanwoo eaten with wild garlic leaves

Eaten with wild garlic leaves, salt, wasabi, and shredded scallion-bean sprout salad, it was seriously delicious — I'm getting hungry again just writing this. The beef really melted in the mouth.

Doenjang sulbap served alongside the hanwoo assortment

Ordering the hanwoo assortment comes with doenjang sulbap (soybean-paste rice cooked in a stone pot), which was also great when we wanted some carbs after all that meat.

That thing wrapped in foil in the grilling photo above is tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patty), which is apparently a menu item they're currently testing. They also gave us a bowl of rice and tteokgalbi for the kids as a service, and the kids happily finished the whole bowl.

Yukhoe tangtang — beef tartare with octopus and abalone sashimi

Next came the yukhoe tangtang, a dish that comes with beef tartare, octopus, and abalone sashimi together.

The reason I decided I have to come back here for the yukhoe bibimbap lunch is that the yukhoe here was genuinely excellent. The nakji tangtang (chopped raw octopus) was tasty too, and I hadn't had abalone this tender in a long time. The yukhoe tangtang was really satisfying.

When you're craving tender hanwoo in Ingye-dong, Suwon

What I liked about this visit to Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch started from the clean, upscale atmosphere I felt the moment I walked in, and with the spacious parking, private seating, and private rooms, it made for a comfortable meal.

And most importantly, the hanwoo was delicious. The hanwoo assortment looked appetizing from the marbling alone, and lightly grilled over charcoal, it melted in the mouth along with a savory juiciness. I'd recommend the yukhoe tangtang too!! If you're looking for melt-in-your-mouth tender beef in Suwon, I'd recommend Yeongpo Hwa-ro Ingye Branch, a well-known beef restaurant in Ingye-dong.
